The history of Green Gable Inn starts with my great grandparents who immigrated from Norway in the 1890’s and were the 3rd settlers in Hansville. In 1915 grandparents, John and Matilda, bought this property, built a house and raised their three children. The first house burnt down and the community rallied around them and together they built the second house. They also built a cabin and rented it out during the summer months (one of the first vacation rentals) to local fishermen that came to Hansville which was widely known as a popular salmon fishing area. The property stayed in the family and the house was expanded and renovated. In 2003 an expansive addition was added and the original house extensively renovated to what you see now. We love the Pacific Northwest and love sharing our home and this piece of history with our guests.
