Come rest your mind and renew your inspiration at Towd Point Landing, a tranquil seaside oasis of natural beauty and wildlife.

Towd Point has been called The Hamptons of yesteryear with its slow pace and rustic charm. There are no mansions here, or pools, or tennis courts…only a pristine bay, a harbor, an inlet, a world class beach and remarkable sunsets.

The space:

Towd Point Landing is a two-story dwelling of approximately 1400sf/130sqm. The preserved natural wetlands on each side of the property provide privacy.

The home features a primary bedroom with a private 30' balcony and full bath on the upper level, and two small bedrooms with water views on the lower level that are served by a separate full bath.

The kitchen is fully equipped (and we mean FULLY). The inviting living room features a working fireplace and 65” TV. The kitchen, living room, and dining area all have remarkable panoramic views of the inlet and salt marsh.

Guests can swim in the water right off the patio and can launch the two kayaks and two stand-up-paddleboards, (seasonally) included in the rental.

Guest access:

Towd Point Landing is just a 10 minute Taxi/Uber from the Hampton Jitney station in Southampton, and Southampton Long Island Railroad station.

There are three small grocery stores/delis, a farmer’s market, seafood market and a liquor store all within a couple of mile’s distance as well as restaurants.

Our pristine bay beach is a 5 minute scenic stroll down the road. Cooper’s Beach is the closest ocean beach and is a 15 minute drive. Daily ocean beach parking is available for a fee.

The regal town of Southampton is a 12 minute drive and has a full size supermarket (Stop & Shop), a CVS, and many exclusive shops and restaurants. The beautiful waterside town of Sag Harbor is an 18 minute drive and also offers many great shops, restaurants, and a gorgeous marina.

Bring your car on the South Ferry (a 20 minute drive) and embark on a magical day trip to Shelter Island, which hosts the legendary Sunset Beach hotel and restaurant and world class bay beaches.

Perfect place for family time
The Host: From the beginning with booking to checking out of this property, Jeff has been a fabulous host. He provided quick responses and went above and beyond to answer all the questions I had. The House: Very clean and cozy. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and kids spent time in the eating area and the living room by the fire place. Although the weather wasn’t the best during our stay (windy and cold) when we had 1 nice day the kids had a blast clamming, kayaking and our little dog just loved watching the kids play and the ducks and swan swim on by from the top deck from the upstairs balcony. Jeff even had swan food for the kids to feed! The only time we left the house was to get some take out from the local restaurant for one night. Other than that, we never wanted to leave. We had a blast. We had made it a priority to disconnect from work, school and electronics and focus on family time and this was the place to accomplish that. Thank you Jeff for having us.

Host profile image
I am a native New Yorker who spent all of his summers in the Hamptons. Travel is EVERYTHING to us and so we want to make our home EVERYTHING for our guests. We think about the travel elements and experiences that have brought us joy and strive to recreate them.

Why they chose this property

We found it by accident and we will always be grateful we bought here. It's pretty much a secret place. Most tourists will never make it to this peninsula as there are no signs or publicity directing people to our beach.

What makes this property unique

The views, water accessibility, and tranquility are what sets us apart. The panoramic views of the bay, inlet, harbor, and salt marsh can not be beat. You could not get any closer to the water unless you were on a boat or jumped in. The walk to the bay beach is not only extremely short but stunning. The nature preserve creates a peaceful and serene setting with little 'light pollution' to block the night sky.
