There is a 90 day minimum rental requirement as per the HOA rules if you want to use the amenities that the HOA provides. We also only accept reservations for 7 nights or more. This is such a relaxing, elegant home on a quiet cul-de-sac that you will love your time here. It is located easily off I-10 so it's simple to find and to get around town. The neighborhood has a dog park so if you bring your pet, he'll be able to run free now and then. The entry to the neighborhood features a huge fountain and lots of flowers and you'll feel secure with the guard gated entry. There are bike lanes throughout the neighborhood and we supply the bikes! The open floor plan features a great room as well as a formal dining room. Outside you'll enjoy the private pool, patio set, two padded chaise lounges and covered sitting area. Inside,the big screen LED/LCD TV is equipped with cable and a DVD player The master suite features a huge shower, generous walk in closet and a slider to the patio and pool. There is a 2nd bedroom, full bathroom and an office which has WiFi, a desk, and a printer/scanner. This is our second home and we love it but since we are not retired yet, we cannot spend all of our time there yet. We offer this home for you to enjoy. 1 pet only, must be house broken. 31 days or more do not require the 13% city tax. City of Indio Permit #1503.

About Lorna Willard
We purchased this newer home in preparation of our retirement years down the road. Our hopes are to become 'snowbirds' but for now, we don't have that luxury. If you rent our home, please take tender loving care of it as it is a special place to be for sure.

We are golfers and this course is a beauty and is open to the public. We love the Palm Springs area as it offers such great weather, pretty mountain views, lots of flowers and greenery, great hiking and horseback riding in the Indian canyons and awesome restaurants and shopping everywhere. We fell for this house because of the pool and the neighborhood amenities.

Great, quiet location within a vibrant 55+ community!
Close to main entrance, walking path and dog park. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. Comfortable furniture, wonderful beds, and a large TV with DVR. The private pool was ideal and maintained regularly. Great outdoor chairs for lounging and a table to enjoy meals outside. Lorna was a joy. She responded quickly to our initial reservation request and subsequent questions and was committed to ensuring all went well throughout our stay. And all did go well. We hated to leave.

Relaxation in the Desert
We certainly enjoyed the time we spent at this lovely home ❤️ Although we are not golfers, it was such a beautiful area to take our daily walks. There is a clubhouse that one can go and play pool, have a bite to eat etc.
The house is beautiful inside and very well appointed. There is everything we needed when we chose to make dinners at home. We especially enjoyed being able to go to our own private pool in the backyard.
The area offers so much to do and this house will serve as a good base to come and go from. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Beautiful home in a great location
Close to the action but off the beaten path enough to not be bothered by traffic or other vacationers. The neighborhood is quiet and friend. The home owner took care to ensure we had everything necessary and were happy during the stay.

Sun City Shadow Hills
Lorna was very nice and easy to deal with. The kitchen was fully equipped - even a waffle maker! Never once didn't have what we needed. The beds are comfy. Loads of linens. The location by the front gate and dog park is great. The back yard gets the morning sun so it is so nice to sit out in the morning and have a cup of coffee. Lorna left all sorts of food in the fridge so we didn't need to run out to the grocery store our fist day after a long drive. She also left flowers! All staples (food items, spices, cleaning supplies, paper products) are provided and Lorna only asks if you use something up that you replace it. She is very generous and treats you more like family than renters.
I am so happy that you enjoyed your stay. As far as I am concerned, anyone who rents are home is considered a guest and is treated like one of the family. Thanks for noticing. I hope you come back again!
The home was located on a quiet cul-de-sac about 3/4 of a mile from the Montecito Clubhouse. The private backyard with the pool was a nice retreat on the warm afternoons. The house was well-equipped with anything you might need during your stay. We had a great stay during the month of November. It was the perfect getaway for us, and we look forward to staying in this home again. Thank you, Lorna and Dave!
Wonderful Property, Beautifully Equipped
My wife and I stayed at this property for three months. We really enjoyed the privacy of the large backyard and the private pool. It is a very well-equipped home, within an easy walk or bike ride from an amazing fitness center. My wife took advantage of numerous dance and fitness classes. The owner, Lorna, is very nice and hospitable, and when we first arrived after a long and tiring drive, she'd left food, wine and beer in the fridge for us!
The place is spotlessly clean; the bedrooms are very comfortable and well-appointed; the kitchen stocked with everything you can possibly need. In short, it is a wonderful home away from home for a get-away of any duration. My wife and I unreservedly recommend it.

The Shadow Hills community clubhouse (there are two) features 3 swimming pools (one indoor, two outdoor), 2 Jacuzzi/Spas, a Library, Billiards room, 18 hole putting course, a 18 hole regulation golf course, 18 hole par 3 course, restaurant, 2 full gyms and meeting rooms. Our HOA requires a 90 day minimum stay.
