Our beautiful ranch-style country home in Mattituck is a peaceful coastal retreat just steps from Peconic Bay and perfectly positioned between the charming villages of the North Fork and the vibrant destinations of the Hamptons.

Our centrally located home places you minutes from Greenport, Southold, Jamesport, and Riverhead, while the Hamptons — including Westhampton Beach and Southampton — are an easy scenic drive away. Whether you're exploring vineyards, relaxing at the beach, or discovering farm stands and restaurants, this is the perfect home base for your East End getaway.

Our home comfortably accommodates up to 7 guests and combines modern comforts with relaxed coastal charm.

Nice property in quiet neighborhood. The property was both family friendly and a short drive to lots of other towns and attractions in the North Fork. There was a beach with a playground close by. We enjoyed the pool and were glad to be able to bring our dog on the trip.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The quiet surroundings and the access to Peconic Bay more than fulfilled our expectations. We slept well in the comfortable beds. Steve was an incredibly thorough and responsive host. The house was fairly newly renovated and very tastefully appointed. The corner lot was large and lovely, and the pool was really special though we didn’t have time to wait for the water to heat. We loed having the beach virtually across the street. Highly recommend!

Great Location Near All the Wineries

This is my second time staying at this property. Nicole and Steve are great hosts. The place has everything you need and is clean. The house is located right by the water where you can take a nice walk. It is just a few minutes from Love Lane in Mattituck, and a 5 - 10 minute drive to all the wineries. This time we went from the house to Greenport and it was not as far as I thought it was going to be. Totally a great location. I love how close the house is to my favorite restaurants and to the water. A perfect place to stay.

Great family getaway for the harvest season

What a wonderful home and perfect location. Very close to restaurants and wineries. We went pumpkin and apple picking only 5 min away! In the evenings we roasted marshmallows in the fire pit they have outside. The owner was very helpful and responsive and the house is very well maintained and clean. Loved the little notes the put explaining what and where everything is. Would definitely come back and hopefully for longer!

Great getaway

We have been coming out to the North Fork for +10 years and have been using rentals for the past 5. This is by far one of the best houses we have stayed. The location is perfect as is the layout of the house. Since it was April, we did not use the out doors and pool, but plan on coming back for that. I highly recommend this home for families or a group of friends.

Lovely long weekend on the North Fork

We had a great long weekend at the Modern Home with Beach Access and Pool. The house had all we needed including three nice-sized bedrooms for 6 adults, a well-stocked kitchen, and a very large pool with lots of floaties and pool toys. We ate all our meals straight from the grill at the dining table on the patio with the trees towering overhead - perfection! Also we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the weekend without our doggy child, and she had perhaps the best time of all!

Beyond grateful for the wonderful stay at this property in the Laurel/Hamptons. It truly exceeded all of my expectations in every way possible. I like movies and cooking, and enjoy reading for my book club as it forces me to read. Sometimes I even bake for guests. But nothing beats being near water. There is just something so soothing, and beautifiul, about it.

Why they chose this property

What drew me to this house is that it offered both the pool and access to this country style walking path(nestled between these 2 large homes across the street) direct across the street from the home with 3 handmade benches to sit and enjoy the tranquil peconic bay between these 2 large homes- it is quite charming. This charming walking path and bay is for houses that are on this street only. The other point is we are a 5 min walk to 2 beaches (one large and one small) and a nature trail. We can also take a 15-20 min walk to Magic Fountain for ice cream or even walk to the shopping center for groceries, or Goldberg's bagels- and Love Lane is just a 30 min walk from our home.

What makes this property unique

Everything provided in the previous question. But our house was just renovated with brand new bathrooms, freshly painted throughout with a combination of modern furniture with accents of antiques, and the kitchen is spacious with new quartz countertops for cooking. There are wall-mounted flat-screen televisions in each bedroom and the living room.
