Well-priced resort with everything needed
We were very happy with our stay at Bali Hai. Our room was very large and we enjoyed having access to a kitchen and two bathrooms when we returned from beach activities. The room had everything we needed, including ample shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwasher detergent, washing detergent. When we needed more we simply had to ask the front desk. Plenty of plates, cutlery and pots/pans. There are no additional spices provided beyond salt and pepper, so just be prepared when you go grocery shopping.
Near the resort I recommend the Princeville Farmer's Market on Saturdays, Hanalei Bay (the pier and the town), and Puu Poa Beach for snorkeling. There is a great local grocery store called Foodland.
Pros
- Lots of space in the rooms for kids to run around and play.
- Washer and dryer in the room was so convenient.
- Beautiful pool and hot tub.
- Beautiful part of island, even if no ocean view from the resort.
Cons
- Very slow wifi and a device limit. The "premium" option includes an extra charge. I shouldn't have to pay extra for decent wifi at a resort in this day and age.
- No drying rack provided to dry swimsuits and towels that we had each day from pool and beach activities.
- Kid activities offered at the resort in the middle of the day (11am, noon), which is when we were typically off on the island doing other activities.
- It is a long walk to a beach that you can get onto and into the water. A bit shorter walk to a beach viewpoint.
