Guestbook comments from the owner

one of the most beautiful vacation spots i have visited in years. I'm a big fan of the wine tours and let me tell you this is close to some of the areas finest. If you are a follower of racing, this is the place for you. The lake view is second to none and we plan on visiting here for years to come.

Wonderful place on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay and all the space, both indoors and out, available for us to enjoy! The deck and dock were so nice to relax on. The neighbors were very sweet and their dogs even came over to visit while we were outside. Close to the wineries we wanted to visit. Would absolutely recommend and come back in a heartbeat!

A good stay

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we had a great stay at the Seneca Lake property. The deck and dock are both great for sitting out over the water, and there's a nice yard as well. The deck was pretty well-covered in spider's webs when we arrived, though I'm not sure this was from lack of cleaning, as the spiders seemed pretty persistent to put new webs back up every day... The water stays pretty shallow all the way out to the end of the dock, but you will need to get in out there, as the entry from the shore is pretty filled with seaweed, algae, and other things that wash in from the lake.

Great grill, good sized property, and the A/C's all worked well to keep the house cool. The beds were also very comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets. Neighbors were also very nice. The kitchen was generally stocked pretty well, but lacked a few things that we had expected (cutting boards, salt, pepper, other condiments), and was a little short on number of plates and glasses. In the end, this wasn't a big deal, just meant additional dish washing and an additional trip to the store.

Overall, we thought it was a great multi-family waterfront property on Seneca and would definitely recommend it.

Property could use some TLC. Nice house, just needs cleaned up some.

  • 4 of 5

We had an enjoyable couples weekend at the lake house. Overall the house more than met our needs although it could use a little upkeep. The washing machine had a note on it that it has been broke since May and still had towels in it. The gutters had more vegetation growing in them than the lake. Aside from some minor things the house was very comfortable, clean and convenient to everything. We spent most of our evenings sitting around the fire enjoying a bottle of wine and the beautiful sunsets. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely spot, a little run down

  • 3 of 5

Our initial arrival was disappointing because the house and yard had been only partially cleaned after a long-term lease. Denise, the real estate rep, was very responsive and apologetic, and offered to send cleaners immediately. We had already done a scrub to make it liveable for the 2 nights we were there. Beyond that, the house suited our needs well. The location on the lake is lovely and the layout allowed our extended family the room to mingle for an evening.

Quick getaway

  • 2 of 5

We needed a getaway for Labor Day weekend and we were able to secure the place at the last minute with no issue including our dog. That was helpful. The location was good and view was great at night. It was very quiet, which is all positive. The inside of the property was lovely, clean and exactly what we needed for sleeping. The outside, however, needs attention. The beach was overgrown and could not be utilized to enter the water. There were snakes in the overgrown brush that had to be removed before allowing pets or children to go near. The bees were AWFUL, so much so we could never eat outside, let alone have a cocktail. The chairs were dirty and uncomfortable with only one lounge chair. The ignition light on the grill didn't work and needed to be manually lit. The kitchen was missing some basic items: grilling tools, cutting board and maybe a lighter to start the grill, especially if it's broken? We had a fun weekend but not because of the house.

Great place for a "girls'" weekend!

  • 4 of 5

My four friends and I stayed here this past weekend. The house was just right for our needs - comfortable, especially the living room which had a really comfy couch and recliner chair. It was too chilly to make use of the deck, but beautiful to look at - and must be really nice during warm weather. Bathrooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Trash had been taken out prior to our stay, so that wasn't an issue. There were some bees getting into one of the back bedrooms, and we couldn't figure out how. Luckily there was a can of bee/wasp spray which we made use of. I'd say we killed 10-12 over the weekend. The kitchen had everything we needed in terms of pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, etc. The light over the sink was out, which made it a bit dark in there when we were preparing food. BTW, wifi instructions are framed and on the wall in the living room. I'm not sure everyone would know right away to look on the wall for this information. The location is definitely good for places in the area to visit.
