Located in town, with partial views and on the winter shuttle route, this 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom townhouse in Mammoth Lakes California is perfect for up to 6 people on a budget looking for comfortable accommodations. All townhouses face a landscaped courtyard that includes laundry facilities, pool, spa, sauna, tennis and volleyball net. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. Approx 1150 sq. Ft. Living Area: Kitchen, dining area, woodstove, deck, TV/DVD, and full bath. Master: King bed, deck, vanity sink and shared full bath (TV). Bedroom #2: Queen bed and a bunk bed with two twins, deck, and shared bath, (TV); Maximum Occupancy: 6. Guests will be provided two parking passes. It would be a good idea to state the unit is 2 floors with the kitchen and living room on top floor; it took some time to figure that out from the pictures and didn't see it described. Location is great and the unit is quiet.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean and great, but we did experience some issues with the house. The bedrooms are on the bottom floor and the living room/kitchen area is on the top floor. While we were in the bedrooms, the upstairs floor was super creaky so you could hear everything from those that were upstairs. Unless everyone is waking up at the exact same time, that could be problematic. We also utilized the bus shuttle while we were here to take up to the mountain and it was closed on the second day, so we had to walk all the way to Vons in the snow. That's not the house's fault, but just something to be aware of if you plan on taking public transportation to the mountain from this house.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was pretty convenient, close walking distance to restaurants and Vons. The place was quiet where the neighbors (shared wall) we could not even tell they were there. However the condo itself was not up to par. They had a previous leak from the upstairs bathroom which leaked down to the bottom bathroom and the patch work was pitiful. You can see holes in it and looks like they only placed a piece of paper over the hole and painted over it. The shower in the upstairs didn't look clean where it was not white as if it was cleaned. The bathroom laminate flooring looked to be pealing up at the corners nearest the tub/shower. The kitchen is severely dated, however they have good quantity of utensils, pots n pans, and dinnerware. The lighting is very poor everywhere, especially in the bedrooms. And the bottom floor entrance heater was inop with a note on it that it is inop. I would not recommend this particular unit.

Reviewer Comments: We visit Mammoth often, probably 6-8 times per year for the past 25 years. I can't remember staying at a worse place in Mammoth than #30 at Villa de los Pinos. We have considered staying at this complex before because the location is great but the unit we stayed in felt very old and tired. The air was thick with burnt firewood smell and we noticed our clothes, when we got home, smelled like we had been sitting around a campfire (we only lit a fire 1 night). The unit has a fair amount of glass to allow light in but it felt very dark and gloomy. We commented when we were there that we would have been much more comfortable at the Motel 6. There are a lot of places to stay in Mammoth that are much nicer for the same amount of money or less.

Perfect location with Vons just down the street along with the bowling alley all in walking distance, if you really wanted to walk. The red line is also right in front of the condo complex which made it very easy to get on the mountain and back without having to drive. Very clean, everything you need is there to cook, make a fire, etc. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Property management team was VERY helpful and professional. No complaints. Would stay here again.

The kitchen is stocked with everything that you can think of. There was ample supply of towels, linens, blankets, toilet paper and even the condiments. There were couple of essential things missing, but that's minor stuff. The heating was great. Firewood is provided as well. Only problem we ran into was availability of hot water in the shower. We had to wait an hour between turns to take a hot shower. Other than that everything was great! The unit had sleds and shovel too. There also was tire chains in the unit although we didn't use them. Great place to stay. We would stay there again when we come back.
