About Linda Korsch

Linda and Ken Korsch, proprietors- We are off sight owners and we spend our weekends making things happen at the resort. We also enjoy all the things that make the northwoods enjoyable for the visitors.

The cleaning is meticulous!

You can enjoy a morning of local golfing at Trout Lake and then an afternoon ride around the lake followed by an evening around the campfire- all stress free!

Linda Korsch purchased this bungalow in 2003

Why Linda Korsch chose Northeast

The beauty and solitude of Little Spider Lake gave us the vision to create a wonderful vacation spot for couples and families to enjoy. We enjoy the quiet of the area- despite being minutes from downtown Minocqua Wisconsin. Some weekends we can enjoy the solitude of the resort without having to leave. Ken enjoys ice fishing in the bay (100 feet from the cabin) in winters without other fisherman around.

What makes this bungalow unique

Our properties include hiking trails, biking opportunities along with canoeing- kayaking - boating- and fishing. We have found this space to be a great place to relax and enjoy nature at its finest. We take a ride around the lake on our pontoon (about 45 minutes) while seeing many eagles in the nearby trees. We even have an eagles nest on the lake! Loons are common along with viewing an occasional fox or deer on the shoreline adds to the ride. This year we have the treat of having a Loon's nest within 200' from your private deck next to the lake.Take a step back in time while enjoying the modern amenities of our favorite cabin.

Very cozy and nice

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this little cabin and property. I enjoyed waking up each morning and being able to overlook the lake before I even put my feet on the floor. Our 12 year old son enjoyed the dock where he spent ALL of his down time catching bluegill and bass. It was nice that he was close enough that we could keep an eye on him. The fiepit couldn't be more perfectly placed. We were 15 minutes from town and that was nice for eating out or trips to the store. We would definitely stay in this cabin again!

R&R

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay at Lake Rest Cabins (Baron's Bungalow) and found the property to have everyting you could possibly need. Despite the cool and rainy week, we made the best of it and totally enjoyed our time at this cabin. The view is wonderful and there is plenty of wildlife to watch. We are looking forward to our next stay and just pray for better weather. I'm sure the owners would provide great weather too if they had the ability. Thanks Ken and Linda

Awesome and Relaxing, Baron's Bungalow is a magically tranquil gem!

  • 5 of 5

Baron's Bungalow was a wonderful north woods Wisconsin escape from the hustle and bustle of south eastern Wisconsin.

Amidst power loss on our first full day due to severe storms the owners were very accommodating by bringing us extra candles and flash lights. My husband ,children and I enjoyed fishing right from the dock,we enjoyed the tranquility of the lake, listening to the Loons.

My husband enjoyed kayaking on the lake. I enjoyed sitting outside on the deck with the dog just reading ,it was so peaceful that I actually read two books and started a third. Our youngest son enjoyed hanging out with mom and coloring, while we couldn't get our oldest son away from the dock and water.

We would highly recommend this cabin and all of the Lake Rest Cabins to anyone who wants peace and tranquility.

Ken and Linda are very accommodating and hospitable ,thanks again for a wonderful stress free, relaxing vacation, we will definitely be back!

The Kipp Klan and Sadie dog too!

The property was what I expected for the stay. Well groomed and off the beaten path.

Hey there,

This trip marked my first trip back to the north woods of Wisconsin in 5 years. My wife can't stand the ride and her family has an awesome home in southwest Michigan. Me, I like Michigan, but I would walk to northern Wisconsin. I just can't get her to understand what it is that I willingly let grab hold and pull me to the greater Minocqua Area. Perhaps it is the 43 of my 58 years that I have spent going to the area. My wife and our rescued Airedale, Taylor, both really enjoyed our visit to Lake Rest Cabins on the shores of Little Spider Lake just north of Minocqua by a few minutes. We stayed in Baron's Bungalow, the smallest of the 3 cabins on the property. With a beautiful view of the lake out the glass doors of the bedroom, and a separate dock replete with comfortable Adirondack chairs, the calm could not have been nicer. The cabin rental included the use of the rowboat, kayak, canoe, safety gear, and paddle boat. At the dock for Baron's Bungalow. Little Spider lake is a nicely sized lake. Not too many boats, but just enough to stay true to the classic lake concept that draws thousands of vacationers to the area every year. A little bit of boating without being distracting or annoying. Also nice for paddlesports due to the very calm waters. There are bicycle trails in the area as well.

Suffice it to say that I would not hesitate to return to Lake Rest Cabins in a heartbeat. My wife might just willingly endure the ride because she enjoyed it so much.

And then there is the Dog. Taylor. After getting in the paddle boat and initially being scared, he now associates the water with the rest of the experience and gets excited when I say "Minocqua"!

The Korsch's are very nice and were around enough to answer questions and suggest activities in the area.

Beautiful, warmly decorated, friendly owners.

Baron's Bungalow is a wonderful place to relax. We had planned on doing fishing and boating, but rain storm and then snow storm changed our plans. We spent a lot of time reading, resting, and watching a movie or two from local redbox.

The cabin has everything we needed minus food and clothing. Tons of items in kitchen, books by many well known authors, and scenery that is out of this world gorgeous!!. Loons, eagles, deer, beavers out in the yard and all close by on the lake. The outside of the cabin is unassuming, but the inside is a treasure. Bed is comfy, shower has great pressure, and heat works great.

We met with Ken when we first got to cabin and we both felt how warm and genuine he was right away. In the minoqua/woodruff area you pretty much have all the shops you need with many choices for meals if you don't feel like cooking at your cabin. The day we left we stopped at Perkins for breakfast. Highly recommend! We hope to come back to Lake rest cabins soon and get to know the owners better.

Such a beautiful part of the state...so happy we found this lovely slice of peace :)
