About Jenny or Claes Hagstromer
We love this location on Bainbridge Island because it is the closest to downtown while still rural, private, the greatest Puget Sound and mountain (both Mt Rainier and the Olympics!) views and only 50 steps to our beach. We love hiking on any of the over 30 trails on the island. Jenny and Claes

Why Jenny or Claes Hagstromer chose Bainbridge Island
Bainbridge Island is the best location to stay at if you want to be close to downtown Seattle but away from the hustle and bustle downtown and at a better price!

Wish we could have stayed longer
What a great hideaway. We loved building a fire in the morning and evening and watching the ferry boats pass by. Cottage kitchen is fully equipped for any occasion. Great bed and bedding. Masterfully decorated throughout. Very private, very private.
A wonderful time!
Everything was as advertised, very clean, beautiful view! Would stay again.
The view(s) from the house were fantastic specially with the autumn leaves and luckily the weather was more cooperative than less. On a tiny negative note, the bed could be upgraded to a much more comfortable one. Other than that, our stay was satisfyingly good.
Great that you liked your stay but very sorry you only gave us 4 stars since you believe the bed could be upgraded to a more comfortable one. The high quality mattress is only one year old and we have a high quality mattress topper that people love to either keep for a softer bed or remove for a firmer bed to accommodate all tastes per our detailed instruction ring binder. The headboards are expensive antique mahogny design.
And we ask all our guests to let us know right away if there is anything we could help them with since we are always just a text/call away to assist. We could easily have explained to you how to customize the bed for your tastes per our detailed instructions but never heard from you.
Perfect Spot for a Quiet Getaway
My wife and I spent a week at Abode on the Sea. We've been to the Seattle area numerous times, but had never stayed on Bainbridge. This suite was the perfect place to call home for a week and explore the island's wineries, brewery, parks, hiking trails, shoreline and the surrounding peninsula. The town of Winslow is an easy 30 minute walk thru the woods and along the shoreline, or less than a 5 minute drive. Jenny and Claes were great hosts, attentive to our questions and needs (both before and during our stay), but very respectful of our privacy. We cooked breakfast every morning and ate on the patio watching the ferries and private boats pass by, coming and going from the harbor. The views from the patio are some of the best on the island. The kitchen was well equipped, the view and patio were so pleasant we cooked in or brought carry-out and a bottle of wine back to the house most nights just to enjoy the sights and sound of the water. The bed was comfortable, the living room cozy and inviting. Even though the evenings were cool, the fireplace (yes, fireplace, not a fire pit, but a full fireplace) down at the waters edge was a great way to stay warm and watch the sun set over the island. The fire pit just off the patio was great in the evenings as well, to enjoy a glass of wine and take the chill off. The hosts provide plenty of firewood for either the fireplace or fire pit. Wing Point is one of the quieter, more peaceful spots on the island. Perfect place for our visit, we will seek this out on our next stop in the northwest.
It was a pleasure to host you guys and see how you thoroughly took advantage of every aspect of our cozy suite and best waterfront location on our island for views and closeness to downtown Winslow. Next on improvements is a hot tub outside the suite!
access to 18 hole private Wing Point golf club can be arranged
