Wonderful location in Bernal Heights. Close to great grocery store, coffee shops, range of restaurants - strongly recommend Vega. Walkable neighborhood south of downtown. Bernal Heights Park provides great views of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges.
I highly recommend this place, it was clean, spacious, and conveniently located. Restaurants and parks abound. I will recommend it to anyone traveling in SF and will definitely stay again when I return.
This is a great little place. The surrounding town is cute with lots of places to eat. Its about 20 mins to downtown SF proper and you need to take a UBER which is anywhere from 20 to 27. I thought it would be easier to take public transportation, but it wasn't. Other than the distance it was a great place to stay. The garden was peaceful. There is also a great grocery store, if you're staying more than a few days. Overall we enjoyed it!
Marie and Laurent's accommodations here are wonderful. And the location is perfect, one block from great dining and shopping. The views of the City from here are breathtaking, just a short walk up the hill.
The house and location were nice, but it was so loud with people stomping above the space at 6 am in the morning, every morning. Like a herd of elephants.
The property itself was well-appointed, clean and well maintained, although the mattress was pretty darn hard. The neighborhood has a lot of restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance and is transit friendly. Parking is at a premium. It was very challenging to communicate with the hosts who were apparently also traveling during and prior to our stay. We were also only provided two rolls of toilet paper for a five day stay, so we had to go and buy some, which seemed a little chintzy—but there were plenty of paper towels. It wasn’t a big deal for us, but the reviews that mentioned noise were not exaggerating: there was a lot of crying and screaming by children as well as thundering of heavy little feet.
The amenities were in very good condition. The host messaged me in advance about a few peculiarities. The little patio is quite lovely. I did not do any meal preparation so can not comment on the kitchen.
We had a wonderful long weekend here, and look forward to returning when we next visit SF. The place is exactly as pictured: clean, light, well-appointed, and in a fantastic Bernal Heights location. The owners were extremely responsive and kind. We are so happy to find a good place to stay in SF and highly recommend it!
Great neighborhood close to several coffee shops, grocery store and restaurants. Nice parks in the area. Plenty of transportation available. Bernal Heights is a very happening spot.
Lovely space with a proactive host who reached out before our stay. Full kitchen is available for your cooking needs and I appreciated the water filter in the fridge. The location is perfect. We walked plenty to Holly Park and Bernal Heights Park with the most extraordinary of views. Make sure to make a visit to Martha's for coffee and the lucky Horseshoe for a good evening out. Would absolutely stay at this spot again.**Be aware that there is family noise in the early morning hours and the evening hours, so if you plan to sleep past 630am I would have earplugs in.
We traveled a long distance to visit our son & stayed one night because we had to. Disgusting mold in the bathroom and kitchen, stained sheet, dirty towel hanging in bathroom, noisy children screaming and running at 6:30 am and a dog barking. Owner lives above with family which was not disclosed. The owner would not refund the nights we didn't stay. This is a major issue! She misrepresented this listing! We were left with having to find a new place to stay. We were more than willing to do the right thing and pay for the one night we stayed. Disgusting & losing my faith in people knowing what doing the right thing means!!
Came to visit for a quick stay, and plan to return next week for an extended stay. Location was ideal for our needs. There is ample room for 2 people. We didn't do any cooking, but plan to eat breakfast on our next stay. The kitchen seem well equipped for our needs. The bathroom was very clean, and the owner was very responsive when we requested additional towel.
Two short blocks, slight hill, to Cortland St with its frequent bus route and choice of restaurants, as well as a good grocery. Owners who live above have active kids but it was no bother to us.
Fun weekend stay in Bernal Heights. The place looked great cozy, but the bed sofa bed were VERY uncomfortable.A few things:• The Dining room lights did not turn on.• Maybe, ya'll could invest in better pieces of furniture for sleeping, cause they were soo uncomfortable.• The Washer took too long to for a Quick Wash.Overall, nice stay.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed your weekend stay in Bernal Heights and found the place cozy. Just to clarify a few points for future guests:
• We actually slept on the sofa bed ourselves for two months and found it comfortable, but of course comfort can be subjective.
• The bed in the bedroom has a quality mattress with a mattress topper for extra comfort.
• The dining room lights do work—it’s a double switch setup, which can sometimes be confusing. Please don’t hesitate to reach out during your stay if something isn’t working as expected—we’re always happy to help!
• The washer is brand new and includes a drying cycle as well, which can extend the total run time.
Thanks again for staying with us!
First time staying in Bernal Heights & love it. The place is very charming, bright & cozy with a sunny deck in the back. The unit is well equipped. There are markets, restaurants & the most amazing tequila shop in SF within walking distance. We ate at the 3rdCousin on Cortland which was fantastic! There a public library just up a block, plenty of street parking (just watch for street cleaning times & If parked on a grade, turn your wheels according or U might get a ticket!!) As mentioned by others, the host family lives upstairs with young children. U are bound to hear noises early in the morning when everyone gets ready & then in the evening when they come home. It was fine for us but some may be bothered by it.
