About this property

Mountain Life On Deck: Old School & Dog Friendly

Outside living in the Sierras at its best. What's better than a sunny deck with a BBQ, picnic table, and outdoor seating around a fire pit surrounded by sweet smelling large pines and cedars?

Walkable to famed Snowshoe Brewing. White Pines Lake is a 7 minute drive.

Inside: old school cabin charm, comfy beds and robust WiFi.

Level 1 car charging (a 110v outlet) located in the carport.

Guests have complete access to the entire house and property.

Large wooded lots in Arnold, CA. Convenient to Snowshoe Brewery-Restaurant, Hwy 4. Nice neighborhood for walking the dog!

Level 1 car charging (a 110v outlet) located in the carport.
No shoes inside the house.
10 pm begins "quiet time" for the neighborhood.
Please put a sheet down on any furniture dogs may get up on.

GARBAGE RELATED FEES
Because weekly street side garbage/recycling pickup is unavailable or impractical for this property, we ask guests to pack out their bags of separated garbage and recycling to the convenient Avery Transfer Station…a minute off Hwy 4 in Avery…4541 Seagale Road, Avery, CA.

If departing on Wednesday or Thursday when the Avery Transfer Station is closed, please leave your bags sealed/tied in the kitchen.

Because the housecleaners don’t have room in their vehicles for full bags of garbage and recycling, we have to pay a service $5/bag to remove those bags. If you’re unable to remove your bags, please leave $5 per bag in cash. If you prefer to pay by credit card through AirBnB, use the “send/request money” function to transfer the fee. Thanks for your understanding.

PET FEE

We're dog lovers so welcome your pooches. Some breeds don't shed but most do so instead of an arbitrary pet fee imposed on everyone, we leave it to the housecleaners to tell us if there was extra work due to dog hair. After your booking confirms, we'll send a request for $30 per dog. If the cleaners report doing extra work removing dog hair, we keep the fee and pass it on to the cleaners. If none, we refund the fee.

Spacious and comfy!
Our family that consisted of me, my husband my mom, our teen son and our dog had a wonderful time staying at David’s place. We had a bumpy start (due on unforeseen circumstances) but luckily it got fixed and David made it right again. The rest of the stay was great. It was an extremely hot weekend in July and the shady shamrock was perfect for cooling off and hanging out. The deck was lovely to hang out on during the cooler hrs of the day. This place is also close to shops and some other fun attractions. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quaint getaway to a cute town or as close by place to stay to visit Calaveras Big Trees State park like we did. And white pines lake was a lovely surprise spot that we wish were able to enjoy longer if we came prepared.
