This is a beautiful property that is great for a family. Loved the house with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen, the great backyard with lots of seating and beach accessories, the location close to the beaches, the backyard the kids could play in and the A/C. The host was awesome and very quick to respond to any questions I had. We had an amazing vacation and would stay here again in a minute if and when we come back to Kauai.

The house was perfect for a family with kids and elders. No stairs. Plenty of outside space to run around. The porch swings were enjoyed by all. Kitchen was well stocked. We all enjoyed pool and jacuzzi. All in a beautiful, well maintained setting. Thanks, Mike, it was great.

Excellent location between Poipu Beach and Shipwreck beach. You can access beaches, the Grand Hyatt resort, Lava Arch, and the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail by foot via a very nice walking path. Also close to a magnificent fruit stand, but walking there involves walking alongside a highway without a sidewalk, so better to drive. House is well equipped. Great kitchen, plenty of towels, etc. The bathrooms for the Queen suites are minuscule, so be prepared for that. Indoor and outdoor living could not be better. Those porch swings are the absolute best. Sitting outside—surrounded by lush plantings and such incredible bird song and flower fragrance—was one one of my favorite past times. Watch out for falling coconuts though! We had a narrow miss with one. On the bright side, my nephew cracked it open and the fruit was delicious!

When we arrived at the house it was 85º inside. I fiddled with the thermostat for a long time but couldn’t do anything to turn the air conditioning on. The owner was on the east coast and unreachable, and the other contact who I did talk to couldn’t do anything to help until the next day because he was off island as well so we spent a very hot and uncomfortable night.Maintenance the next day diagnosed a broken part, which needed to be ordered and would remain unfixed throughout our stay. The owner offered to refund us for the remaining nights if we wanted to move out early, but there was nothing else available on that short notice in Poipu that met our needs. He was also able to get portable AC units put into 2 of the 4 bedrooms which helped half our group at night but did nothing for the main room.I understand things like this happen and are uncontrollable. But I found the communication overall from the owner to be poor throughout and the partial refund he offered at the end of the stay on a take it or leave it basis I felt was low for the discomfort we endured during the stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. We were visiting from Canada and the house was a perfect space for our family of six adults and one toddler. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We especially appreciated that every bedroom had its own private bathroom. The house was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed: beach towels, beach chairs & umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards and a fully stocked kitchen that made meals at home easy. The location was ideal, within walking distance to Brennecke’s and Poipu beaches. Mike provided wonderful recommendations for restaurants and places to see around Kauai. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone visiting Kauai!

This was the perfect home for our multi-generational family vacation. Absolutely perfect location. LOVE the abundance of beachgoing amenities (chairs, wagon, toys, boogie boards). Only thing we had to rent were snorkels. Our favorite house feature was the sliding glass walls doors...leveled up the experience from great to fantastic. We also spent many a coffee and/or cocktail hour on the front porch swings...idyllic. Three full bathrooms was also really nice for our larger group. Highly recommend Ohana House!

Perfect location for a family vacation

Ohana house was perfect for a family vacation. Open layout, separate bedrooms and bathrooms, lanai, front porch, very private. The backyard/lanai was our spot for meals or to just relax and read a book. Walkable to beach and easy access to the pool. All amenities are here- pool towels, beach gear, chairs, kitchen, etc. 10/10 recommend!
