Prepare to relax! Come and enjoy this veteran owned, private waterfront home either from the end of the pier or from the spacious screened in porch. Watch the bald eagles and ospreys fish and listen to the frogs sing. Take a leisurely stroll through the woods and enjoy the wildlife. This 5 bedroom home has plenty of space for up to 11 people, a fully furnished kitchen, and front and back porches to sit and enjoy the scenery. There are two kayaks to explore the lake, a grill for barbecuing, and fishing poles to catch something tasty for dinner. Plenty of crabs to catch by the pier. Deep Creek Lake is a brackish lake that connects to the Chesapeake Bay. Point Lookout State Park is just a 10 minute drive where you can enjoy the beach and plenty of history. Historic St Mary's City is about 20 minutes away. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the perfect place for you!

The view of Deep Creek from the house was terrific as was the peacefulness and solotude. We especially enjoyed the large screened in porch as it rained 3 times during our stay. The property owner was very responsive to our questions often replying in a less than a couple of hours. Overall, I would recommend this property.

Wonderful Family Trip

This was a perfect location for our family trip. Something for all of us. Lots of nature too ❤️ The host was very easy to communicate with and we had everything we needed - we will be back!

Beautiful location

The property was really nice and in good condition. Everything we needed was there. Amenities of kayak, bike, etc helped to make our stay more enjoyable Only concern was for safety of 2 and 4 year old due to steep open steps to second floor. Appreciated the first floor bedroom suite for family that couldn’t navigate stairs.

Great House

We had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend at this house. The yard was very well kept and the dock and view were great. Our favorite part of the house was the gigantic screened in porch overlooking the water. The house was very clean and well stocked with any supplies we needed. The beds were very nice and comfortable too. The pictures in the listing didn’t show the house that well and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the house was when we arrived. Lots of wildlife to see and fishing to do. I will definitely rent this house again and look forward to it!

Nightmare property

I arrived with my children and grandchildren, to find the house filled with bugs. Every room in the house had many bugs. The kitchen floor, and kitchen counter tops. The bedroom floors and beds as well as all living areas. Most of them were dead, however some were not. I have pictures of the bugs. I had toddlers with me that crawl on the floor. The house was not safe for me and my family. It was filthy dirty. We left the property . This was suppose to be a special time for me and my family. My son, his wife and children who live in Germany came into town, and my daughter, her husband and children who live in California came into town. The owner stated the bugs are native to Maryland and is refusing to refund my money. I rented a new place on a different platform close by and there were no bugs. I would never recommend this place. This home is your worst nightmare. I will continuing pursing a refund. How many bug do there need to be for VRBO to give a refund? This is not a good look.
