Nice property, excellent location

My teenage daughter and I stayed in this property over Christmas. The condo was just as described, simple but well appointed. The location was excellent, walking distance from everything. The beach access is rather small but still very nice and close to other beaches if a larger beach area is preferred. The condo host was very helpful! Would definitely stay again!

The only problem we had was finding the building we had never been to Playa del Carmen before but after that the location was perfect very walkable and so close to the beach . Had a great time !

The location is excellent with good proximity to 5th Avenue. The pool is lovely and the beach access and private beach area was superb. The apartment was spacious for 4 people and clean, however it needs a little bit of an update of furniture and utensils. Good value for money and overall happy with our stay!

Needs cleaning and maintenance

When we arrived the condo was full of mosquitoes and flies. I spent an hour swatting flies and mosquitoes off ceiling and walls. Taking a shower the dirt in shower dissolved and began flowing. Dirt and hair in shower. My wife swept the condo the next morning and there was dirt. A closet in master had leaking water on floor. The door to the master would not close. The beds were low quality and hard. No cleaning service was provided for duration of stay. No trash can liners provided.

Quick getaway

We stayed for 3 nights. Check in was easy. Upon arrival a front desk person checked us in. We noticed in the living room/kitchen that the water dispenser had been leaking and ran off the counter all over the floor. We quickly cleaned it up with towels. We told the person working the front desk and he adjusted the water dispenser and told us to contact the property manager for more water and towels. I emailed the company that manages this condo property that I was previously communicating with and received no response our entire stay. Since we had a late arrival due to multiple flight delays we were ready for bed. Our bed sheets were more than likely not clean. The master bedroom sheets had sand and hair in it. One of the beds that was being used by my kids had long hairs in it. I would also recommend that if you have older children you rent a bigger place. It can sleep six but on kid slept on the couch which is vinyl and uncomfortable. The bees were not comfortable either. If you are tall your feet will hang off the end. There was also a bad smell inside the condo when we arrived. One of the chairs on the patio was also slightly broke. The beach is small and not and the seaweed is an issue (not the rentals fault). It does have a small bar on the beach, which is nice and there is also a cute little beach bar next door. The area is safe and we also used the 7 eleven across the street to buy water, ice, other drinks and snacks. Very convenient. There is a pharmacy right next to it in case you need extra sunscreen. The pool and gym at the resort was very nice and never crowded! Definitely a major plus. It is conveniently located to walk to restaurants and shops. It is also very easy to get a cab to get around from the hotel/complex. When setting up transportation the place is actually called the elements hotel even though it is a condo complex. We also did an excursion during our visit that was very accommodating and did pickup and drop off directly from where we were staying. Playa del Carmen is a nice area that felt safe and we will definitely return but probably not to this unit for our stay. Thankfully, our stay was short in the rental unit.

Stor rummelige ferielejlighed. Direkte udgang til stor poolområde. Lidt fejl og mangler i lejligheden, intet afgørende. Direkte til strand, men vandet der var grumset. Går du 1-2km ud ad byen i stedet kommer du til flot strand. Fin beliggenhed i går afstand til 5.av.

Fantastic

My daughter and I made our 1st joint diving trip together and wanted to be as close to the "Reef, Coco Beach" as possible as that is where we dive from. This property was right next door and absolutely gorgeous. For the same price as I was going to pay at the Reef which included 1 room with 2 Queen size beds and amentities I go a husge 2 b/r with great l/r, kitchen , washer/dryer etc on the ground level with the football field size pool right outside my patio door just steps away. Booking my next trip back in September already and think I have found my "Choice" of stays in Playa now.

Reviewer Comments: Considero que tienen varias áreas de oportunidad en el GH18: Poner por lo menos jabón en los lavabos de los baños y regaderas; mesitas por si quieres poner tu compu, vaso, botana; el acomodo de la sala y comedor es muy incomodo, movería el comedor al fondo, cambiaria la TV que tienen a la pared de enfrente y voltaria la sala; el aire acondicionado no lo pondría fijo, porque te mueres de calor y es invierno!!!....eso si las áreas comunes están increíbles.

Beautiful but loud

Beautiful setting but restaurant next door blasted extremely loud techno music from 9 AM to 10 PM every day. So loud you could not talk on the beach and it woke you every morning. The management at restaurant refused to lower music . The beach has a roped off swimming area for safety of guests. The wave runner rental business next door seemed to take pleasure in running thru the safety area and doing donuts in the area to scare and intimate the guests. I personally saw the manager chase children from the water while riding a jet ski. I also have video tape of them doing fast circles inside the ropes. It appears there are no laws to protect quests in Mexico. The condo was clean and fairly comfortable. Very hard furniture but it is a rental.

Our plan was to stay Sunday night through Wednesday night, great customer service!The condo was immaculately clean and had a completely stocked kitchen with everything we needed to fix our own meals if we wanted to. I actually did cook breakfast the first morning.The view from the terrace was beautiful!facing the pool. The condo is located inside the building near the private beach that Elements has, so we could watch all the boat activity, including watching the parasailing! And walk a few steps to the beach! White sand beaches from one horizon to the other. We spent a lot of time sitting at the table on the terrace watching the activities and people enjoying the Mexican Caribbean vibes.We highly recommend this condo!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit that we rented (206) was not the unit that we were given (119). It took almost a day, with no explanation or apology from Luna or the property management, to move to another unit that at least had a King bed. Her explanation was that we were "upgraded," when the paperwork for 119 clearly was $50-per day less that the $500-per day that I had already paid upfront. We wasted 1/2 a day waiting for replacement unit EGH18 to be cleaned, and then saw that it was because the maids were sitting in the living room watching TV. Our new unit was cleaned twice, instead of 3 times. Estabon was incompetent and did not respond to any communication in a timely manner. Max was great, but spread way too thin, and had no support from his management. Our neighbors were up all night partying and doing drugs, and of course, there's no one to get to deal with it. We even got to meet their drug dealer one evening... Great fun for the kids to meet their first drug dealer! We loved the property, and the staff at Elements is first rate. We will use Brics management next time. Playa Moments is a disaster.
