Welcome to Blackwood Mountain Home — your cozy basecamp with sweeping long‑range mountain views in every direction. After a day exploring Asheville, unwind on the deck, soak in the hot tub, or gather around the fire pit under a sky full of stars (the telescope is ready for stargazers).

Inside, the main floor offers an open, airy living space with a modern kitchen stocked for real cooking, plus a coffee & tea bar and even dog bowls so you can pack lighter. The living room features a wet bar, board games, books, and a 65" HD TV for easy family fun. A king primary suite with walk‑in closet and en‑suite bath is conveniently located on this level — perfect for anyone who prefers to avoid stairs.

Downstairs, you’ll find three additional bedrooms (including another king suite with TV), a full bath, and a laundry area. Remote workers can settle into the dedicated workspace with a 22" monitor ready to plug in.

Outside, enjoy a private 5‑seat hot tub, spacious patio, grill, fire pit, and two decks — all with mountain views. There’s plenty of parking, a Level 2 J1772 EV charger, and an open yard for pets (not fenced).

Easy smart‑lock check‑in and check‑out make your stay seamless.

Wedding Get Away

We had a fabulous stay! the home was wonderful, well stocked, clean and organised, with a short 20 min drivew into Asheville. Additionally, we had a few questions during our stay that the host (John) quickly responded too and took care of. Overall, excellent accommodations and well worth the trip, will definitely utilise again if we come back to the area.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Asheville and western North Carolina, the mountains are just breathtaking. This home is under 20 minutes to all of our favorite spots downtown and has beautiful mountain views and all the creature comforts of home. We love to host family and friends out at the house. The number of hikes and national parks you can get to in 15-45 minutes is great, so many new places to constantly keep exploring.

What makes this property unique

I love the views of the mountains from the kitchen, it's really neat to be cooking away and then look out and see mountains off in the distance. The home is airy and we love the high ceilings upstairs. With 4 comfortable bedrooms we've hosted larger groups and enjoyed our times out in the mountains. Opening the windows up and listening to the birds in the morning is great, you may also get a rooster off in the distance sometimes which cracks me up.
