OUTDOOR LIVING: A new deck invites you to sip coffee with the birds or unwind with a cool drink at dusk. Organic gardens bloom from March through October with medicinal plants and flowers. In early spring you may hear the tiny chorus of peeper frogs from the goldfish pond. My favorite bird, the woodland thrush often offers its haunting song at dawn and dusk. I live on the property and the Wishing Tree cabin sits behind my own home, a 135 year-old log cabin . NOTE: There is also a separate 2 bedroom cabin on the property, and you may occasionally see other guests. Privacy is thoughtfully maintained with lush landscaping . This land feels alive and cherished, and I feel grateful to share it.

Meet Sadie: My friendly beagle is always happy to greet guests (and their dogs!) with a wag and a nuzzle. She is in her invisible fence , so you have to step into her area to pet her.
Please Note: It’s a quick 5 minute drive to the interstate I-26 Exit 23( North Asheville) …Access to the property is via a gravel driveway—about a 3-minute drive in. It’s accessible to all vehicles but can get a bit bumpy during rainy weather.
The road can be a little bumpy and walkway is a little uneven and the charm is unequivocal We are in the woods, which means we occasionally get mosquitoes, mice in the winter, wild turkeys in the yard and on a rare occasion a bear. The bee-yard is out of site ,in front of my home. If , you are super fussy then we are not for you
We delight in the beautiful variety of flowers and animal life we have here . We also delight in the beauty of diversity in the human family and the human experience. This diversity lends a rich depth of experience to our common journey. Rebecca's place was amazing! We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend, and it was incredibly convenient to get everywhere in Asheville. The house is an excellent blend of modern amenities and over 100 years of nostalgia and history. Highly recommended!
Our host Rebecca was friendly, supportive, and available if needed. The cabin was absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed, plus some! Location was very handy to Asheville attractions, also grocery stores and restaurants. Cabin has a lovely porch on the back, perfect for relaxing during the day and stargazing at night. Quiet, cozy, clean and safe. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

I'm so happy you enjoyed your Montain vacation in November!
Rebecca's cabin is in a serene forested area, yet still close enough to anything Asheville to be the perfect place for rest and relaxation after hiking or sight-seeing. Rebecca has taken care of little details like plush towels, a cozy bed, kitchen tools, and outdoor furniture to make for a comfy get-away spot, and she is a pleasant, helpful hostess! We highly recommend this cabin and plan to return in the future!
