Relaxing and cozy

This cottage is exactly how it is described.....cozy! Extremely inviting and relaxing and conveniently close to downtown Asheville. The owners thought of everything, even had a bottle of wine chilled for us when we got there. Will definitely be back!!

Charming place outside of Asheville

  • 5 of 5

Janie and John are fine hosts with a very well kept and quaint place . The hooting owl at night was a nice reminder of the peaceful surroundings. A quick drive to Asheville or other surrounding areas made it the perfect spot for a lovely getaway! Enjoyed our visit very much!

What an awesome little getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was exactly as described. It was immaculate, and it was cozy. The cottage was fleshed out with all the amenities that you could ask for, and the huge window was gorgeous to look out of while we were having breakfast. The weather was wonderful enough that we slept with the AC off and the windows open, and the cool night breeze was absolutely serene.

To top it all off, Janie and John were both wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time. I would recommend this little place to anyone that is looking for a little peace and quiet in a gorgeous setting, and I expect to return in the future.

I Loved the Cozy Cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to spend the month of September, while my house was being renovated! Janie & John are wonderful hosts & the cottage had everything I needed to be comfortable and safe while away from home. I was greeted with a bottle of wine and a few yummy goodies to enjoy until I could get to the grocery store, which was very much appreciated! Kitchen is equipped for any cooking I cared to do, lots of great restaurants around to enjoy, and the cottage is spacious & comfy enough that I didn't get cabin fever. I also enjoyed Cody & Guinness, the very friendly family dogs who keep watch over the homestead. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone traveling to the area in need of a one bedroom vacation retreat! 👍?👍?

Very relaxed and pleasant stay

  • 5 of 5

The cozy cottage is a very nice property for a quiet get away. When we first arrived we were a little concerned about the proximity of the cottage to the owner's home, the cozy cottage is actually a very nice apartment over their garage. This turned out to not be a problem, the windows and furniture are situated so that the views are towards the wooded back of the property and the cottage seems to be well insulated so it is very quiet and private. The lot is densely wooded so you don't see the street or hear traffic. We even saw a wild turkey in the driveway one morning. While there are no mountain views, at least in June, from the cottage the views on the drive are spectacular.

The owners have taken great care with the amenities and decorations. There are lights where you need them, and everything you could possibly need for your stay is available in the cottage. Including coffee and coffee filters. The artwork is unique and doesn't give you a feeling of being in an corporate cookie cutter facility. The television has plenty of channels, the ceiling fans and AC keep the place very comfortable, and the WiFi works well. The bathroom appears to have been recently remodeled so the tile and fixtures seem very fresh.

The owners have put together a description of services. I recommend you read it completely and not just jump to the WiFi password. The recommendations for restaurants were spot on. We went to three restaurants listed in the directory and were very satisfied. The directory has recommendations for Asheville as well as the small town of Weaverville close by.

The owners are nice, helpful, and allow you plenty of privacy. We were celebrating our anniversary, the owners recommended a florist and made sure the flowers were placed in the cottage before we arrived.

Over all a very pleasant stay, if we return to Asheville we will definitely consider the cozy cottage first as a place to stay.
