About Cathy Moore
Hello: My name is Cathy Moore and I am the owner of the “Sparrow’s Nest” cabin. I am a native of Western North Carolina and currently live in Asheville. I grew up on a small farm in the Mills River community and graduated from college with a degree in horticulture and landscaping. I love to bike, hike, and garden. Outdoor photography is one of my favorite hobbies. And with the abundance of wildlife, birds, waterfalls, streams, and colorful seasons it is easy to always find something to fill the frame. I am also a North Carolina real estate Agent/Broker and enjoy finding homes for people who want to move our beautiful mountains. I have a great love and appreciation for the mountains and am very grateful for my heritage. To own a place where others can come to stay and enjoy this lovely area is such a privilege.

An adorable, well stocked, and convenient location for downtown Asheville and nearby National Forests. Cathy was a great host, and we could not have had a better time.
This place was Super clean and stocked better than any rental we have ever stayed in.
Clean, comfortable, very close to asheville but far enough to give a sense of wilderness. Cathy easy to work with and super helpful. Place was immaculate and stocked up nicely. Close to amazing hikes and asheville-a great retreat space and jumping off point. Would definitely go back.
This cabin really is so beautiful. Very cozy, clean, amazing views. The owner does a really great setting up to make sure you're comfortable. There were the basics like towels and linens, but she also went above and beyond anything I've ever experienced by providing a few snacks, bottled water, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, board games, etc.
Our stay at the Sparrow's Nest cabin was awesome. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The cabin is in a great location. You can be in Asheville in 15 minutes and to other locations where you can enjoy the activities and restraunts the area offers. The cabin has both a front porch and a nice patio to enjoy the scenery and country setting. The owner has put a lot of thought on the comfort and needs of those who stay at this cabin. If we ever travel to the area again we will stay at this cabin again.
Excellent clean place to stay
This is a quality new cabin build. It smells like fresh lumber inside and has been assembled by people who care. Very nice front porch for eating and relaxing. You can hear the interstate off in the distance but that doesn't ruin the scenery or the peacefulness of the setting. Just makes it quicker to get to and easier to get on out to your daily destinations.
Well appointed and certainly enough room for two. There are plenty of varieties of birds to watch along with other critters. A hummingbird flew up to the flowers on the front porch while we sat there. We stayed three nights and the mattress slept very well. AC system is very quiet and efficient.
After dark, TV is over the air so bring your Chromecast or similar if you want to watch more than local channels.
We are thankful that we booked here.
Clean, cozy cabin with a mountain view!
Full of modern conveniences and a gracious host. Just a short, easy drive into Asheville. An excellent place to stay!
