Riverside Retreat was as described, well appointed, everything you will need, from kitchen to bath & bedrooms. The porch was a nice evening hang out to catch glimpses of the amazing sunsets & listen to the Tuskasigee River flow.

Wonderful place to stay just outside of Bryson City. The first thing we were able to see when we parked at the home was the Polar Express train across the river from the house, and our child loved it! Just a couple of minutes outside of town, and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay close by.

The house was clean and had all the supplies we needed. My only complaint is that the air conditioner could not be set below 72 due to the fact that it would freeze the unit up. Sleeping was uncomfortable and stuffy due to this fact. There were ceiling fans to help with the heat however, I do not like to have air blowing in my face while I sleep. Don’t think I would have rented this property had I known this in advance. The temperatures were extremely warm while we were in Bryson City which contributed to being uncomfortable at night.

Thanks for sharing the feedback. The AC is kept at 72 to help the system run properly and avoid unnecessary strain during Bryson City’s hotter summer weather, while the ceiling fans are there as an optional way to add airflow. Sleeping temperature can be pretty personal, and what feels comfortable for one guest may feel warm to another. Since this was only mentioned at checkout, we didn’t have the opportunity to troubleshoot the setup or offer any assistance we could during the stay. We still appreciate the note and will keep it in mind for future guests.

Great location for fishing the nearby rivers. Very responsive host, easy check in. Clean and well supplied, add 3 things and it would be perfect, drip coffee maker, dishwasher, gas for the grill. Had to lug my own coffee maker and couldn’t use the grill, who travels with a tank of gas?

Cute little house with cottage feel

This was an adorable house with a cottage like feel. Very close to all attractions, nice view of the river. Decorated very nicely. Was comfortable and had all amenities you would need.

This was a great cottage that was a nice place to relax in after a busy day off sightseeing. It was comfortable and had a lot of nice amenities. Rear patio with river view, two bathrooms, and plenty of seating options. Also had some nice kitchen appliances. We enjoyed our stay.

Our second stay in this quiet neighborhood was quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were super comfortable. The house has everything you would need. Bryson City is a welcoming town with lots to do. We enjoyed views of the river, fishing, hiking, and visiting nearby shops. We will be back again.

We had a great time! Great communication with the owner. The views and sounds of the water are so relaxing and we enjoyed the back patio. The beds, linens, towels and showers are nice and super comfortable. We mostly ate out, but the kitchen was also well stocked. We will definitely be back!!

The house was exactly as advertised. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the overall decor was very cute. The house was prepared with essential items. The home was in a very convenient location for the sites and activities we planned. Definitely recommend this property. We patronized several local restaurants, one within walking distance and found excellent and food and service. Lovely vacation.
