The kitchen is ready for a homecooked meal or enjoy pizza on the back deck overlooking a large field. The living room is cozy and has smart tv ready to stream your next movie night. The bedroom has a window AC unit to keep you chilled on hot summer nights and a comfy bed to lay your head down in after a long day exploring. This property consists of 2 homes, with our UPPER unit located in the BACK house. With modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere, Modern Loft is the ideal choice for your next vacation or weekend escape.

Located just steps away from Saugatuck Brewing Co, antique malls, and other local attractions! Situated directly on the Blue Star Highway, we have easy access to the Blue Star Trail, perfect for biking to town, beaches, and beyond. Our property features two charming homes, and this inviting lower unit is the ideal home base for your next getaway.

Good Stay - Not an Entire Home

Good, clean property. The listing showed it was an entire home but we got there and it was just one unit which was disappointing. Other than that it was a great stay.

My first impression of the property was similar to the past reviewers in that the outside was run down and needed some upkeep/repairs. The house in the property photos is actually split into two different units (upper and lower) which isn’t clear in the posting, but was okay. The inside of the apartment was cute, but did have some issues. The cabinets/drawers didn’t have drawer pulls making them hard to open, there was no dishwasher or grill (mentioned in the property details), many of the dishes/utensils were dirty, and some of the flooring was coming up. I only mention those issues so renters know what to expect, BUT you cannot beat the location of this property. It is minutes from two different beaches, bowling, downtown Douglas (which is awesome), walking distance to a brewery, and right by a grocery store. For the location and price, this place is worth it.

I we do also appreciate your comment "For the location and price, this place is worth it". We have reached out to the homeowner regarding some of your suggestions. We have been consistently trying to work with the third-party booking platforms to remove the grill and dishwasher. We also requested from the homeowner that he needs to get a grill for the back duplex, as he has one for the front duplex. We also let the homeowner about the pulls for the kitchen (we have mentioned this to him before as well).Again thank you for your patience

Getaway

The inside of the property was clean. It was lacking some item such as glasses to drink from, table, settings, etc. The coffee maker was broken, but they were very quick to respond and replace it. The outside of the property was a bit sketchy looking. The outside of the property was dirty, overgrown, and in some spots, perhaps unsafe. also, during our stay, there was an issue with the fire alarms, and they went off several times, keeping us up all night.

Decent stay, but not impressed.

The view out back was beautiful and interior was decent. From a contractor’s point of view this place is in very rough shape and needs a ton of maintenance… exterior looked like a disaster from unstable stairs going up to the overgrown weeds. Inside light fixtures were falling out of the ceiling, drywall looked unfinished. The filters underneath the microwave looked like they’ve never been cleaned. (Fire hazard).I could go on, however no trouble with the stay instelf, just was not impressed.
