Excellent value, beautiful place
My family has stayed at both this and the connecting unit twice. It is awesome. The owners are wonderful people, very friendly and helpful. The place is clean, very beautifully furnished! We, both adults, teenagers, and younger kids loved having the pool and the beach right at our doorstep. You can't beat this place for its location and price. The place is even better than the pictures. Three balconies with amazing fews. I highly recommend!
Buyer beware...just returned from 7 days at this condo and it is in need of major repairs. We had to call maintenance twice...once for the garage door opener and again for the ice maker. The pool fence that is meant to keep unsupervised children out of the pool had a slit in it large enough for a young child to step through. The master bathroom had a ring of mold surrounding the ac vent as well as mold growing on the carpet in the walk- in closet. The bed in the master bedroom was awful and lumpy. The ac on the third floor could not be regulated..it was always extremely cold on that floor no matter how much the thermostat was adjusted. The refrigerator door is rusted and the surface of the cook top stove is totally discolored. The couches were full of stains and there were at least 2 missing light bulbs...in a lamp and overhead light. The sliding glass doors were extremely hard to open and the general cleanliness of the codo is questionable.
Coming from my own home which is clean and maintained to vacation in a rental that is not is a waste of money. Don't be deceived by the photos online...I have many that I took to confirm my review that I would gladly attach if allowed.
When the house is on the beach, it requires all sorts of repairs and purchase of to the appliances much quicker. In the garage, there was already a new refrigerator waiting to replace the old one.
Also, wrt to the bulbs (There are total of 93 bulbs in the house), our local management company replaces them every Saturday when the gust leaves. 2 bulbs can get burnt during the week long stay of a guest. I apologize on behalf of bulb manufactures that bulbs don't last as long as the promises made.
Some guests ignore the advice that exhaust fan must be kept on during the usage which makes the humidity in the beach homes very very high and results in instant mold.
And yes, if guests bring lot of sand from the beach and walk with soiled shoes the sliding doors get jammed.
As and when the cleaning crew or the guest points out, all of this gets fixed every Saturday.
Something might be wrong in your observation wrt the carpet comment. We got rid of carpet and have wonderful tile floors throughout the beach house.
And most importantly, after your stay, the fence on beach was found to be torn. We don't know who did. Of course, it was replaced.
It's true that individual homes are more clean than the beach homes that are rented to guests (We live far away). Some guests treat our homes as their own and keep it clean.
And by the way, 95% of our guests perpetually repeat guests over years. You are the first guest who has resorted to write such a review. We do have over 1,100 reviews; all of them very good.
A stunning setting in a wonderful location with all the comforts of home...
We have just returned from 9 nights at this lovely, spacious property. Set right on the beach in the “village” feel of Indian Rocks, with spectacular views of the sea, sand, sunsets and pelicans, we had a wonderful time. The property is very well equipped and has a real “homely” feel, with books, magazines and treasures from around the world. There is plenty of space inside and we made great use of the shared pool (which is heated).
Indian Rocks is lovely, with predominantly low rise "home-style" properties (rather than large hotels or apartments blocks) but plenty of choice of places to eat. Having the ice-cream shop on the corner, spectacular French bakery a few blocks up and stunning doughnuts just down the road meant we had to make lots of use of the beach for running and walking – as well as playing with the kids in the breakers!
Plumlee were very efficient and dealt with all our enquiries quickly and professionally.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property to my family and friends, and if we return to this area, we would definitely come back to this house!
