Our family had a wonderful lake weekend at rest ashored. The home is very clean, well stocked, and nicely appointed. The newly built boat dock is incredible with beautiful lake views!

The only negative comment I have is that the home was not stocked with any sundries, like paper towels, basic spices, aluminum foil, etc.

Awesome lake home with a really awesome boathouse. We also appreciated the detached guest house because we have young children that need naps and it was nice to have a quiet space. There are also many places to hang out which our family enjoyed.

First time on Burton
Home was lovely, a little smaller that we thought. Home was very comfortable and had everything needed. Boat house was the highlight. We did have one incident that caused a little irritation. Our first evening was interrupted by wasps. Had so many buzzing around and son-in-law stung we had to leave. We found nest under a table called to find spray but none available. Managemt sent somone out next morning. They showed up at house @ 6:30:am. Could not find boathouse. Our daughter went to show them where it was and wrecked her car. That started the week a little rocky. Other than that all was well.A sink and tv at boathouse would be nice.

Thank you for your detailed review. We’re glad to hear you found the home comfortable and enjoyed the boathouse. We sincerely apologize for the rough start with the wasps and the challenges with the morning service visit—it sounds like a frustrating situation, and we appreciate your patience as we addressed it. We also appreciate your suggestions about adding a sink and TV at the boathouse, as well as your feedback on the size of the home. Input like this helps us make improvements for future guests.
Despite the rocky start, we’re happy to hear the rest of your stay went well and hope to have the opportunity to host you again under smoother circumstances.
House and Boat House were very convenient and a great cove on the Lake for a quiet space and had great spots throughout the house for activities and enjoy family time in the evenings.

Thank you for your kind review! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and that the cabin was clean and exactly as you expected from the listing. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope to welcome you back for another visit soon!
Great stay at Rest Ashored! We travelled with six teens and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We really enjoyed the large screened-in porch where lots of World Cup was watched and many board games played. S’mores at the fire pit were fun, too. The boat house is comfortable and an easy walk. Docking our pontoon boat was a piece of cake due to the nice sized cove this house sits on. The only downside was that we were looking forward to mahjong at the boat house as the pictures show a game table, but there is not one there now…just a long picnic style table. We made do. Don’t hesitate to spend time at this lovely lake house!!
