Welcome to The Trailhead Cottage! This charming studio guest house, detached from the main house, is the perfect retreat for couples and their furry friend. Located less than a mile from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest, 3 miles to downtown Brevard, 4 miles to the Brevard Music Center, and 13 miles to Dupont Recreational Forest.

Upon entering, you'll be greeted by a stylishly furnished and comfortable space that feels like a home away from home. The studio features:

We travel to Brevard often to see our daughter at BC. We were very pleased with this cottage. Very clean, comfortable, quiet, and close to all there is to do. We will be staying there again.

Convenient to bike trials & Downtown

Cutest little cottage ! Came to Brevard for a long weekend of bike riding ! The location was perfect, about a 2 miles from PNF, Oskar Blues, and downtown.

This place was so perfect! My dog and i had been hiking the caolina mountaosn for a few days and we needed angood place to recover. It was clean, very close to shops, restaurants and much much more. Just great! I love it. We loved it

Cute and nicely placed cottage

My wife and I stayed at the cottage for our first anniversary. This was such a nice find. I wanted to find a place close to the entrance to the national forest since we love hiking the parkway. This cottage was so clean and updated, we loved coming back to it at the end of the day. Check in and out was easy and communication with Heidi was easy.

My husband and I love the mountains to bike, run and relax. Trailhead Cottage was a big part of what we enjoyed during this years visit. Communication with Heidi was easy. The cottage was nicely stocked, very clean, comfortable and private. Everything we liked to do was close by: walking along the Davidson River, drinks at the Hub and dinners at Ecusta. Short drive to Ingles for groceries and best of all was the proximity to our favorite trails at PNF and DuPont. We definitely will be booking a stay at this property in 2026.

From the time you book til you drive up it’s a peaceful place. The place was immaculate and inviting. As a professional cleaner, I couldn’t be more impressed with the way it’s taken care of. We loved the communication with the host and the privacy of the place. Will definitely stay again.

Great stay!

The location was perfect. Close to both Pisgah and Dupont which was great for riding and hiking. Also close to the grocery store, gas station and a few eateries. The unit itself was clean, uncluttered and had all of the conveniences of home. They even provided a bike wash station when I asked if there was a place to clean bikes. Communication with the host was top notch. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family!

Girls’ Getaway

My daughter and I stayed at Trailhead Cottage for a 5 day girls’ getaway. It was immaculate, had everything we needed, and was conveniently located to literally EVERYTHING we wanted to do—hiking, horseback riding, and Sliding Rock in Pisgah; tubing on the Davidson River; hiking and cycling in Dupont; and exploring Downtown Brevard. Heidi was extremely responsive and very helpful with information about the locations of various activities. I especially appreciated the bike stand and bike washing station at the property. Highly recommend this unit!

Ideal location for access to Pisgah. Next to some local restaurants and shops. Close to downtown as well. Tucked off the main road in an isolated location that would be fine to leave bikes overnight or during the day. The rental was clean and well kept. Having laundry available was also a plus if we needed to wash some clothes. Would stay here again 100%.
