Loved the private grassy lawn with an unobstructed view of the sea and sky. The view out the windows of the living room is truly gorgeous. Spent awe-struck time looking at moon on the water at night and the ocean waves all day.Didn't love that the second floor is accessible by a ladder. One of our party could not go up. The bathroom and kitchen are small. I don't want to criticize the house because it has charm and personality, but if you go know that it is an older home.Overall we had a happy family trip.
Great place and loved the area and location to everything!

Cozy home in a perfect spot
My family has been coming to the North Oregon Coast every summer for the past 5 years, and this home has been our favorite spot so far. It was big enough to spread out while we were there for downtime, and a short and easy walk down to the beach to play and build a fire. While the home is older, it is clean, well maintained, and the kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need. We would definitely consider staying here again!
What a great location, quiet and serene for an anniversary. While the kitchen is small it is well equipped and did everything we need. might be harder for a larger group using all the beds as there is a single small bathroom, but the location more than made up for it and a beach all to ourselves. incredible view and comfortable home. we are very grateful and happy with the trip and would return again and again.
This place was amazing! The access to the beach 2 doors down was icing on the cake! The beach was beautiful and a great place to collect sand dollars! We enjoyed lounging in the yard and the amenities that were provided! Highly recommend this place!

Birthday Weekend
We gathered together on the Oregon coast to celebrate my son's birthday. It was a very comfortable property with amazing views and good amenities and beach access. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting this property in the summer.
Exactly as described. Getting to the beach takes less than a minute - or you can sit and watch the waves out the window. Perfect for our 4-person family.
We loved our time in Arch Cape. The home is simple and the kitchen and bedrooms are small. But the view is breathtaking! There is a ladder up to the loft, so make sure your party is comfortable climbing the ladder. Overall, we'd happily stay there again.
Incredible views! Terrific backyard looking out to the pacific. However, we did experience issues with bugs and mice. Also, the trash outside was full when we arrived and worse when we left.

Response from VrboOwner on 21 Mar 2020
Jorge, we're so glad you enjoyed the amazing views and had a great stay overall! The homeowner has a professional investigating the property for any evidence of pests. We're confident they won't find any issues, but if they do, it will be resolved immediately. Past guests have never experienced issues with this and we are sure this won't recur for future guests. We wish you would've reached out to the owner about this as they would've been more than happy to assist. Additionally, as soon as the owner was made aware of the trash issue, they contacted the trash service and were scheduled to come the following day. Unfortunately, the trash service didn't follow through as promised and it wasn't taken care of until after your check-out. We understand the homeowner took generous measures to make up for the inconvenience this caused. As evident in other reviews, past guests regularly have five-star experiences and we are confident this home will continue to host satisfied guests! Best, the Evolve Team
The house has a unique upstairs, a nice main part of the house, but a small bathroom. Some of the outlets in the larger bedroom weren't working. Overall, a most pleasant place to spend the weekend.
The stay was calm and peaceful. The view, the weather, and the locale were all peaceful and sublime. The only point to call to attention, is the accuracy of the listing. Appliances were a surprise in terms of type and age. So that was a bit of an adjustment. Other than that, the house and the atmosphere was great.

Magnificent Place
My family and I came up from Bellevue Washington for two days and to say the least. Two days was not long enough. We did not want to leave. Everything from the house with the view of the pacific ocean from the living room was amazing. The house was clean and it had everything you needed to make you stay comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely will be making future reservations. The house was perfect. Thank you for a memorable stay even though it was a short stay. Thank you :)

Great yard and view.
This property was good for what we needed it for but would probably fit a family with young children more than five grown women. The kitchen is very small and the oven is an exercise in trial and error cooking but it was fine for a two-day weekend trip. The yard and access to the beach is amazing. If you have a large family of smaller kids they have an entire floor for them to go up to on a step ladder. An overall good house that we enjoyed staying in.
Arch Cape is an excellent place to stay when visiting the coast in northern Oregon. Oceanfront Escape was clean and provided a great view of the ocean. The kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked dinners etc. there every night. The main sitting area was very comfortable and had a great view. The beds were excellent. But I would not recommend more than 4 people stay at one time as the kitchen is small and there is only 1 bathroom that is also very small. We appreciated the new stove and oven! It would have been nice if there was a dishwasher. We would definitely stay here again.
We came for a family reunion in Arch Cape. Great location and view. We were able to walk on the beach to the other house to see family. Easy check in. Small rooms with a very small bathroom and kitchen. We didn't cook there. We could not stay upstairs because it was blazing hot and no screens on the windows so moths were coming in. My daughter had to sleep on the couch. Otherwise a nice quaint place.
This property has a spectacular view, and is in a great location, with a walk of just a few minutes to the beach. The kitchen was better-equipped than some other places we’ve stayed, which was a nice feature. The house is a bit dated and the bathroom is small, as other reviewers have noted, but we did not find that to be a problem. Cleanliness of the house could have been better when we checked in. Communication with the property manager was not quite as timely as I would have liked, but it was helpful once we were able to connect. The manager also made the very nice gesture of informing us ahead of time that one of the appliances would be out of order during our stay, and gave us a discount as a result. The positives definitely outweigh the downsides here, and we enjoyed our stay.
Great location. Loved the short and easy access to the private beach. Owner was responsive. House was very outdated, (super cool but dirty, old stove with PUSH buttons!) which didnt really matter to us because we just needed it for a good night's sleep. Nice large windows with view of the water were great! Kitchen, single bathroom, and shower were functional but EXTREMELY tiny so probably not the best choice for large families or larger people or anyone wanting to prepare meals. I hate to leave negative reviews, but the house was not the cleanest...previous visitor's clothes and feminine products were left beside one of the upstairs beds. Fireplace was full of old wood and ashes. Trash can was completely full of trash (no room for ours). Cookies were under the chair in the living room along with chip crumbs in the carpet. Mattress covers were stained with blood when we pulled the sheets off as instructed. Functional... like staying with family...but pricey, all things considered. Clean enough for some people's standards, but definitely not for all.
You are paying for the house location and views. It was wonderful to wake up each morning and see the beautiful beach and sunsets at night. Access to the beach was two houses down, but not a problem. It was a breeze to drive to the famous beaches in the area. They provided a wood bundle that we used for a beach fire, and the beds were very comfortable. With that being said, there is only 1 tiny bathroom with virtually no counter space for cosmetics and only half a tub. I wouldn’t recommend the rental for more than one family because of the single, small bathroom. It did have great water pressure, though! The kitchen oven and stove appeared to be from the 1960’s. We didn’t use the oven (too small for a frozen pizza) but the stove did work fine. Their was no dishwasher and no kitchen wash rags were provided. They did provide a sponge for hand washing dishes. The clothing washer/dryer were small capacity. They could only handle about half of a normal load at a time. The ladder up to the loft is not for small children or those with disabilities. You have to walk down backwards and hold on tight. The house had some strange odors (old smoke smell downstairs and old carpet smell upstairs), which we got used to by day 3. It’s pricey for what you get.
Group of four friends stayed at the property for an extra-long weekend and felt it was as advertised. Great views of the Pacific (and of little bats at dusk!), nice yard which could be enjoyed, and a comfortable living room. No major issues on our end with the bedrooms but we thoroughly read the location description and knew about the loft ladder ahead of time. This did not pose a problem for us but certainly an older or impaired client would find this daunting. Bathroom was certainly small, the shower even more so! For four people it was fine - not sure how a larger group would cope.
The kitchen was functional but truthfully we mostly only used the microwave, coffee maker and instant tea pot. The "oven" is a relief from the 1970's and should be avoided at all costs. The fireplace however was a wonderful addition and we loved it on the chilly evenings for heat and ambiance.
Wish we were more technically savvy to have figured out the TV but we finally managed Roku which gave us enough of what we needed so all was good.
Overall, I think the property may be a bit dated and a bit away from the downtown action of Cannon Beach itself but we had no surprises, enjoyed our stay and would have no problem recommending it to others as long as aware of above nuisances.
PS There were even a few rain jackets left available if one forgot which was a nice touch - thanks!
