NO EVENTS AT THIS PROPERTY. VILLA IS FOR 6 Guests ONLY. We are not an event facility. Rehearsal dinners, receptions, weddings etc that exceed our occupancy limits are strictly prohibited.

Welcome to Villa Querencia. This North Georgia wine country Italian villa sits over looking the vineyard. Watch the sun set from your own back porch. Fully decorated with 3 bedrooms (2 King and 2 twins) each has private baths. Fully equipped kitchen with wine refrigerator, Wolf gas range, SubZero refrigerator, dishwasher, granite countertops, wood floors. Have a romantic evening for 2 or enjoy good times and wine with friends. Enjoy fine dining at the winery's restaurant or hang out with friends at the Trattoria with a hand made brick oven pizza. Several winerys all with-in 30 minute drive. Close to downtown Dahlonega. Enjoy our east coast wine country just an hour and half from Atlanta.

This villa is beautiful and so is the view from the back porches. I like that it has two separate heating and air units. The kitchen is a dream and everything worked perfectly. David is very easy to work with and responds to all of your questions very quickly. The only downside is that there are no TV's in the downstairs bedrooms.

This villa was an ideal place to stay during our yearly visit to the North Georgia Mountains, where we visited the local wineries. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the cookware and utensils needed to cook our meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean with an ample supply of towels for our weekend stay. The beds had traditional mattresses, not the 'bed-in-a-box variety, which led to a comfortable night's sleep. While we didn't use the outdoor fireplace, we appreciated that wood was provided. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening nightcaps on the comfortable balcony seating overlooking the vineyard. Email communication was great; David was very responsive. Check-in and check-out were a breeze with detailed instructions sent by email and available at the Villa. We would recommend this Villa to our friends and family.

We stayed two nights for a college graduation, and wish we could’ve stayed longer! We took full advantage of the two restaurants at Montaluce Winery for our suppers, but the kitchen was fully stocked for those wanting to cook on the professional grade Wolf stove. Throughout the beautifully decorated house, there were little touches everywhere that made our stay quite comfortable. Our hosts were so gracious to share their beautiful home with us, and it was elegant yet comfortable which is not an easy balance to pull off. Communication with the owner was stellar. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the Dahlonega area.

Kim and David named the property Villa Querencia for the Spanish sentiment that it is a place where a person feels safe, happy, and strong, just like at home. Being able to stay as yourself, feeling safe and content. The word comes from the Spanish verb "querer," which means "to desire." This is the feeling they hope each guest experiences when they visit and enjoy their own sense of being at home.

Why they chose this property

Just an hour and half from downtown Atlanta and you are in the beautiful mountains of North Georgia. Located on the Etowah river Montaluce Winery is perfect for fly fishing, kakaking and there are many waterfalls and hiking trails in the northeast Georgia mountains. Bicyclist love our area as do bikers for the miles of beautiful scenery. We enjoy good food and wine with friends in a unique setting.
