River View Gateway- 5 min walk to Yellowstone River

Bedrooms 4
Property type chateau / country house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Direct TV (movie package), Deck, BBQ, Sleeps 9

If you are looking for a basecamp for Yellowstone and Southwest Montana attractions, this is the place to do it. Located in beautiful Paradise Valley, River View Gateway is a brief 15 minutes north of Gardiner, the northern entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We are 1 hour south of Bozeman (BZN) so getting here is a breeze.

A short walk to the Yellowstone River, this location combines seclusion with easy accessibility to main attractions. Kick your feet up on a patio chair and enjoy a panoramic view of the Absaroka Mountains, Yellowstone River, and Paradise Valley. Wildlife like deer, elk, antelope, and more can be spotted with a scope from the porch! Catch a fish from one of the numerous fishing access points and grill it up for supper.

Take a hike to the top of Rams-Horn Peak and wind down with a soak at Chico Hot Springs underneath Montana's famous Big Sky. Enjoy eating inside with a fully stocked kitchen and play some games in the family room. Treat your pet(s) to their own space outside or let them politely hang out in the house. A private circle drive allows camper to turn around and provides ample parking.

Ample sleeping space is availalbe. Downstairs hosts the master king bedroom with a full shower, toilet, and jetted tub. Also downstairs is a twin room, queen room, and an additional full bathroom. The laundry facilities are also downstairs.

The kitchen and two additional bedrooms are upstairs along with the living area. The additional two queen rooms give this house 5 bedrooms comfortably sleeping 9 on pillows.

The kitchen is fully stocked and all towels and linens are provided. AT&T does not work well- Verizon does. The house has Wifi and Cable TV so you won't miss out on work or the news! We also have many movie channels for winding down at the end of a long day of exploring Yellowstone.

**Please note the owner has renovated the small studio cabin on the same property. He is an avid fly fisherman and when he doesn't have the house booked, he may use the small cabin from time to time during guest's stay. He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and will keep to himself.**

Great stay for a large family gathering

  • 4 of 5

A large group of us stayed almost a week for a family trip to Yellowstone. The location of the house was probably one of it's best features. It's fairly close to the park and the small town of Gardiner (which was super cute and convenient). The house itself was clean and comfortable, but the views from the deck were absolutely stunning. The pictures didn't do it justice. Tanya was very helpful and accommodating.

Emigrant House-Gateway to North Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay over the holidays at this warm and comfortable home. It had everything we needed for our stay and kept us warm with all the amenities as we were treated to some Montana snow. The views of the mountains from the house's full plate-glass windows were breathtaking. We also had an elk herd that visited our yard almost daily and were treated to a herd of prong horns that joined them one day. What a treat! It was also great to be able to get to the North Entrance of Yellowstone in 15 minutes to see Mammoth Hot Springs, Rescue Creek, the thermal springs at the Boiling River, bison, big horn sheep, coyotes, and elk in the park. All around a fantastic winter adventure made perfect by having a lovely home base to return to each day.

Perfect location, perfect house, awesome view!!

  • 5 of 5

This property is perfectly situated toward the southern end of Paradise Valley and only 15 minutes away from the Northern Yellowstone Entrance next to Gardiner, MT. The house is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The views are spectacular and with the Yellowstone River being just at the bottom of the hill (5 minute walk) even if you choose to hang out at the house all day there is plenty to do and see. Stargazing is a MUST at this house! We've stayed in other locations just outside of Yellowstone but this is by far the best experience we've had. We are already making plans to return to this exact same spot. No more vacation rental hunting for us.

Large house with wonderful views

  • 5 of 5

We loved this pet friendly house just 15 minutes away from the northern entrance to Yellowstone. The beds and couches were comfortable, and the house did not seem cramped for our group of 10 people. The view from the porch was spectacular. It was our favorite spot to relax after long days touring Yellowstone.

Great place to stay for a trip to Yellowstone

  • 5 of 5

My large family loved the house. It is remote, but also close to Yellowstone - which is exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of room for a large group. I would definitely stay there again.

Incredible Vistas

  • 4 of 5

My group enjoyed this property--the beds were great, plenty of space, manager Tanya is very responsive and positive. Great proximity to Yellowstone, Gallatin NF and Absaroka/Beartooth. We had wonderful adventures. Definitely recommend! Took a star off because there were some funky/broken blinds in the living/dining area that detracted from the otherwise stunning view, and the kitchen doesn't flow well for a group. There is also on bedroom with no windows that was a little dungeon-y. Small problems in the scheme of this great place!
