The Waikiki Banyan is one of Waikiki's most popular resort condominiums for vacation rentals, located one block from the beach in the heart of Waikiki.

Located on the 31st floor in Tower 2, our 1 bedroom corner unit is the perfect home away from home while vacationing in Waikiki and Honolulu. Enjoy the conveniences of a vacation rental by owner plus all the comforts of home in our completely renovated, 700 sq. ft. fully equipped and comfortably furnished suite. Free parking in the parkade, free long distance calls to the US and Canada and free WiFi is included with your rental. Our condo is equipped with everything you need including Tommy Bahama beach chairs and beach umbrella, beach towels, snorkel gear, binoculars for the spectacular rainbows we get just off our lanai and anything else you could possibly think of.

PLEASE NOTE: The Waikiki Banyan is a 100% NON SMOKING complex. Smoking is NOT permitted in our condo, on the lanai, or anywhere on the Waikiki Banyan property.

Our suite has been completely renovated from top to bottom and decorated in Hawaiian style. It has a separate bedroom with a new Simmons King size bed and windows on three sides to catch the Tradewinds and the stunning views. Blackout curtains, a ceiling fan and a new A/C unit ensure a cool, restful sleep.

The newly renovated kitchen has granite counters, a window looking directly out to Diamond Head and is fully stocked with everything you could need including microwave oven, rice cooker, coffee maker, blender, dishes, cookware, etc.

The spacious living room has a new Queen size sofa bed with a firm, comfortable mattress, a love seat and a chair for plenty of seating. A large lanai with table and chairs offers fabulous, completely unobstructed views of the Koolau mountains, canal and Diamond Head. The lanai gets the morning sun and the afternoon shade and is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. Our nighttime view is spectacular with the lights of the valley reflected in the canal.

The bathroom has a separate vanity area with granite countertop. Behind a pocket door is the toilet area and the brand new, glass door walk-in shower, featuring easy to clean solid surface quartz walls and a top of the line Grohe shower system. Taking a shower has never been more pleasurable.

There is a 42” flat screen tv in the living room and a 28' LED tv in the bedroom with full cable programming. The porcelain tile floors keep the unit cool and easy to clean.

A coin-operated laundry room ($2.00 each for washer/dryer) is just steps away, diagonally across the hall from our front door. There is a laundry room on every floor so machines are always available.

The recreation deck on the 6th floor is perfect for the whole family with a large heated swimming pool, sauna, 2 hot tubs, barbecues, a putting green, children's playground, basketball and tennis courts and poolside snack bar. There is also a convenience store and an internet cafe in the lobby area.

While the Banyan is a child-friendly complex, our suite is located on the opposite side of the recreation facilities (in Tower 2 or Mauka, facing the mountains), providing a peaceful retreat for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

We purchased our condo in 2012 and lovingly renovated it with comfort and relaxation in mind. This is our home away from home and we look forward to welcoming you with aloha. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Mahalo Nui Loa.

About Cathy

We live in Vancouver, BC, Canada and have been vacationing in Hawaii for years. We fell in love with the Waikiki Banyan and all it has to offer. We love the separate bedroom, gorgeous views and full kitchen. We knew we wanted to be on the quiet, cool side of the building, with views of the mountains, canal and Diamond Head. After much searching for the right unit, we bought our condo in January, 2012. We lovingly renovated it from top to bottom. Why Cathy chose South Oahu

The Waikiki Banyan is one short block from world famous Waikiki Beach. We are a short walk to Kapiolani Park and the Honolulu Zoo. There are many shops and boutiques just a short stroll away and there is a bus stop right outside our door, with buses covering the entire island. Great cafes and world class restaurants are all within walking distance. We think it is the best location in all of Hawaii and the amenities are great.

Our unit is on the cool, quiet side of the complex, away from the recreation deck, in Tower 2 (or Mauka, facing the mountains). The lanai has gorgeous, unobstructed panoramic views and gets the morning sun and afternoon shade so the unit is cool and comfortable. Newly renovated from top to bottom.

Beautiful Condo

This condo exceeded our expectations. This is our fourth year coming to waikiki and our first year staying in your condo. By far the nicest condo we have rented. Everything you could possibly want is here, most equipped kitchen ever. Loved the view from the 31st floor even at night with all the lights on the mountain. We love the beach and hardly missed a day, also nice to have the beach chairs. Cathy is so accommodating and really appreciated the welcome card and email to make sure everything was okay. Cathy is an amazing host and always available to answer any emails. Can't wait to come back next year. Thank you Cathy for a home away from home.

Most perfect condo ever

This condo has everything you need and is absolutely beautiful!:

- perfect location just 1 min away from waikiki beach.

- easy parking included in condo

- amazing view from 31 floor to the mountain and a perfect sunrise (beach should be awesome too.. but we didn't miss it)

- most equipped condo ever!

- really usefully beach stuff

- complete kitchen

- amazing bathroom.

Our stay was perfect because of the condo but mainly because of Cathy, she is the most amazing and gentle host. She answer our emails instantly and we had a late check out.

If you are planning your stay in Honolulu, dont doubt it, you should rent this condo

Great choice for us

Part of the reason we chose to rent this condo was because of the positive detailed reviews. We definitely concur! It was definitely just like staying in someone’s home without the owner there. It seemed like each time I went to look to see if some item might be there, it was. The unit was very clean, very well organized, and tastefully furnished. The pool area, small playground, picnic tables with many electric grills was spacious and inviting. We particularly enjoyed the view from the lanai of canoe paddlers the Ala Wai Canal, the golf course, and Manoa Valley. All of the staff on site (cleaning, security, parking) were friendly and made you feel at home. A big plus also is that you can park in any space at no cost, which is a rarity in Waikiki. The location is excellent for walking in that area. Cathy was so thorough in the detailed instructions they provide ahead of your visit and indeed did check upon our arrival to see if we had any questions or concerns.

Awesome Vacation Condo

We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful condo. It has a very well equipped kitchen that we used a lot during our stay. The condo is clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The mountain view is very nice with lots of rainbows due to the constant rain in the mountaintops. Being a corner unit, there are windows on two sides which allows a nice breeze through the condo on most days. We only used the air conditioner a few times during our 80 day stay. Also because of a northeast mountain view, the condo is a lot cooler than having the hot sun all day. The Waikiki Banyan is in a great location that is close to the beach, stores and restaurants. We were able to walk everywhere and did not have a car for our entire stay even though there is a parking spot provided with the condo. The owners are awesome, helpful and very easy to deal with. We highly recommend this condo to others and will be returning ourselves in the future.
