This is the Big Island, and there's lots of things to spend your money on beside high priced lodging! The units at Fairway Villas are all nice and very much the same, so why stay with us?
Well, #1 we have a great price!. #2 We have an excellent location near the pool, fitness center, barbeque, and overlooking the golf course with a mountain view. #3 We have a dedicated, covered parking space close-in which keeps your car out of the hot sun and shortens your walk (which very few units have),. #4 We do not use one of the large management companies. We have a smaller, dedicated cleaning and maintenance crew which gives us immediate feedback regarding any problems. This means your unit will always be clean and ready for you!
We're just a short 20 minute drive from the Kona airport. Visit the nearby Costco or Safeway to stock up on supplies before you get head down the highway to the condo. Some of the nicest beaches in Hawaii are within walking distance or a short 10 minute drive away from the condo. Two mini shopping centers are just 100 yards past the gated entrance to the complex, offering you fine dining, a food court, a small grocery store, shopping, and a gas station.
You can enjoy breakfast or an evening glass of wine on the 2nd floor lanai overlooking the 15th fairway of the Waikoloa Country Club's beach course. The unit is centrally located and only 50 yards from the fitness center. Grill your steaks or seafood on one of the 6 large gas grills adjoining the fitness center. Relax in the infinity pool just a few steps further away, or loosen those sore muscles in the outdoor hot tub. Stroll the manicured grounds of the complex, or walk the trails of the Waikoloa petroglyph preserve which are just yards away.
Beach gear you might need such as, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and a cooler, are provided..
Watch the sunset at the world famous Anaeho'omalu Beach (A-bay), which is just 1/2 mile away. Walk there or drive and park in the spacious public lot. Or take a dip in the placid waters and snorkel amid the tropical fish,coral, and turtles. Many other world class beaches are just a short drive away.
You'll find everything you need in this well-equipped unit, tastefully decorated unit. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook your meals. Enjoy the tropical breezes on the lanai, or relax inside in the comfortable living room.
Note: the unit is strictly non-smoking, as is the entire Fairway Villas complex. Smokers must step off property onto nearby sidewalks to smoke.
There is a short rental contract which must be agreed to before a booking becomes final. When booking, please look over the sample contract which is provided before making payment. By making payment you agree to the general terms of the contract. After making payment, a specific contract with your name and the details of your quote included will be electronically sent to you and your reservation is complete.

We found the unit to be clean, quiet & comfortable. We loved our stay!
We thought the unit was clean & quiet. It had everything we needed & was an easy walk to shopping, dining & the beach. We really enjoyed our stay & hope to be back someday.

The condo was very clean and had everything that we needed including lots of kitchen items and lots of towels. The AC worked very well which made the condo very comfortable! Another thing we enjoyed was the list of instructions that Ed included in the condo (instructions for parking, WiFi password etc). Ed even included a list of their favorite places to see and things to do while on the big island - much appreciated! The only thing we did not enjoy about the condo was the cockroach problem. We understand that cockroaches are very prominent in humid and tropical locations and that they are attracted to food. We have seen cockroaches during our other 4 stays at fairway villas over previous years, but have never seen them in the condos to this extent. Small cockroaches were in the kitchen, in the cupboards, in the cutlery drawers etc. There were cockroach traps, so we found lots of dead cockroaches as well. However, even given this inconvience, Ed was easily reachable and very accommodating. The matter was taken care of very quickly and Ed got a company to come treat the problem. Ed was very friendly and personable. Ed was very professional and we could tell that he cared about how we were enjoying our stay. The matter was dealt with quickly and appropriately and for this reason, we would enjoy another stay here. Hopefully the pesticides will have gotten rid of the cockroaches for Ed and the next vacationers who stay here. We will continue coming back to Fairway Villas. It is our favorite place!
I'm very sorry that Ashley had a problem. There was apparently a very sudden outbreak of roaches during her stay. As reviews posted just previous to hers show, those guests did not have a problem. Orkin took care of the problem immediately and since we have them on a maintenance schedule this should not recur. Have never had this issue in 10 years. I apologized to Ashley, and I did refund part of her rental due to the unforseen circumstances.
Fairway Villas is a great spot for enjoying the Kohala coast. Close to the favorite beaches and easy walk to some decent restaurants.
Food shopping can be a bit expensive and spotty unless you stop at Costco on the way or drive up to Waikoloa Village to the KTA. There is a "marketplace" in both the kings and queens shops but the selections are slim and pricey. There is also a weekly farmers market - and that can offer some local flavor. There is also a Foodland in the Mauna Lani but be sure to get the Kamaina card to save a few coins!
This particular unit is centrally located in the complex. The reserved parking is close to the elevator and you are quite close to the pool and the barbecue. The pre-check in instructions sent by the owner were very complete and helpful. There is a nice selection of beach chairs and boogie boards and a huge selection of snorkel stuff in the closet, if you don't have your own.
This unit is a tiny bit shop worn, and there were a couple oddities in the amenities -- for example only three place mats? Overall clean, well furnished and comfortable -- with an excellent price for the two bedroom unit.
Nearby beaches are incredible. Pool and hot tub a welcome pleasure after a day in the surf.

Had a great week of beautiful weather. Nice central location for all our outings. Nice to sit and relax on the lanai and watch the golfers in the late afternoon. Will consider staying here again.

14 days of perfect weather and relaxation. The condo is centrally located, easy walking distance to shopping areas and the Hilton. Great to relax on the lanai after a hard day of vacationing. Overlooks a golf course, furniture on lanai is super comfortable. Ed was attentive to any concerns we had. Complex grounds are beautifully landscaped. Thanks for your hospitality Ed, we will definitely consider when we return to the Big Island.

Ask us about special last minute rates (within 3 weeks of arrival) We do not rent for longer than 1 month, and there is no special monthly pricing, or discounts for senior citizens, military, or local residents. check in time is 4 PM, check out time is 11 AM. Upon request, may be adjusted if possible Full refund if cancellation 60 or more days in advance, less than 60 days depends on ability to re-rent.
