They bought this cottage because it looked like a great rental cottage. The cottage has been remodeled with many improvements into one of the nicest cottages in the heart of the town.
You'll love the location of the cottage just off the downtown business district and will appreciate its' quiet seclusion on the dead-end of Mary Street. You will also love the intimacy and feel of the cottage. It has a coziness that you will find very relaxing and enjoyable. Besides being a great romantic get away it is also an ideal cottage for a young couple with small children. With a great kids park just a block away and with the nice yard open for games and child's play the cottage works perfectly as a place for kids.
I loved this cottage from the moment I stepped into it.
The cottage is sweet and warm and stocked with everything you might need, including logs for the small, stand alone outdoor fireplace. The yard is picturesque and the street quiet.
If you stay at Jan's Cottage, you will be in the historic district. Additionally, one is able to come out of the front door, turn right, navigate up the stairs and continue to explore to the expansive residential historic district of Saugatuck located behind and parallel to the downtown shopping district. If you turn left, you are two blocks from the ferry, park, and downtown shopping area.
The owners are nearby and ready and able to help you with any questions or concerns you may have!
The fact that the cottage is on a quiet, dead end street only serves to enhance its already numerous location advantages. It's cute, charming, and has a relaxing atmosphere. It was perfect for me and my occasional guests. I will be back! Thanks Jan and Gary!
Was perfect for the two of us. Very quiet for being so near Butler. Walk to everything you want to do. Ate at Marros and Brodie's and had excellent food. Boarded the Star of Saugatuck and learned a few things we didn't know. A great vacation.
The cottage was perfect for the two of us and our dog. It is located close to everything downtown Saugatuck has to offer. The owners were friendly and responsive.
