There are three large bedrooms, 2 queens and 1 set of twins, all with lovely wooden floors. The upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combination and tile floors. The galley-size bathroom on the first floor has a step-in tiled shower and tile floors. The large living room/dining room has the original walnut paneling, with antique oak dining table and chairs and wicker and rattan couch and chairs. Rainy Days? Connect to WIFI, stream your favorite channels or play any of the numerous games and puzzles.
Outside are 3 different decks, all attached with 2 different seating options. The huge back yard has mature trees and plants and is so peaceful. Big Blue comfortably fits 6 people with plenty of space to do your own thing. There is a washer, dryer, and high chair.
THE FIREPLACE IS NON-OPERATIONAL AND WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREPITS.

Parking is not an issue as you will have the whole driveway to yourselves.

Please observe the 11:00 quiet time ordinance.

This was our third time staying at Big Blue and we love it! Very clean, quiet, conveniently located near shops and restaurants, and the owners are friendly and communicative. We love Saugatuck in the fall and can’t wait to come back next year!

This was a comfortable place to stay for a family reunion- we had four adults and two kids staying in the house and everyone had plenty of space. The kitchen was adequate to prepare meals and the backyard was scenic. Location was perfect to walk into town.

You can’t beat the location. Downtown Saugatuck was only a couple of blocks away. Very convenient to stores and restaurants. Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay at Big Blue was comfortable.
Charming home with plenty of space and within walking distance of all the shops and dining options in Saugatuck. The front porch was a favorite spot to relax and enjoy morning coffee. Chris and Ernie are wonderful hosts and made the check-in and check-out process extremely easy. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in Saugatuck.

My family and I loved our stay at Big Blue. The home was clean and included everything we needed for a great stay, even beach towels for a quick trip to Oval Beach. Big Blue also has a great location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Our hosts were friendly and provided an easy check-in and check-out process. We’ll definitely be back!

Thank you for such a wonderful review, Jamie. We would love to have you stay again. You were excellent guests.
We spent time at the house then found time to stroll into Saugatuck. Good sized property and the owners generously left a welcome bottle of sparkling wine for us. Easy parking and a great porch surrounded by a screen. As others have said, the property is old fashioned but suited us on this occasion.
The house was great and just as described. On a quiet street, loved having our coffee in the morning on screened front porch, had 5 beach chairs and beach towels, lots of books and games, well stocked kitchen with regular coffee pot and keurig. Came with extra coffee and pods, honey, popcorn. Short walk to town. Would stay here again.

Thank you for your reservation and we are glad you enjoyed Big Blue.
Great home about 3 blocks from the start of downtown Saugatuck.. about a 10-15 minute walk. Found the house to be clean and in good condition although it is an older home as you can see by the pictures. Owners were prompt and responsive to our needs. We will likely be back to rebook!
We were visiting for a weekend from out of state for some college tours. We lucked out and were able to be in town for an art/gallery hop. All if the local businesses were open and it was a perfect time to stroll the streets. On Sunday there was a chili cook off with live music. Everything was within walking distance! There was plenty of parking, the kitchen was fully stocked to prepare food at home. The accommodations were clean and perfect for our family of 4. We had a wonderful weekend and would stay here again with these most gracious hosts! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for the wonderful review, Carrie. You were wonderful guests and we would welcome you back anytime. Yes, Chili Cook-Off weekend is a great time to visit in October. Especially as the colors are starting to change. Thank you again for choosing Big Blue.
Situated on a lovely street just a short walk or ride down the hill to town. Worked well for our family of four plus pup. Highlight was having morning coffee on the screened porch and catching a breeze. Even saw some playful deer out front in the early a.m. We loved Oval beach, the art barn, and strolling the shops & galleries around Saugatuck & Douglas. Easy communication with the host.

Ernie and I retired to Saugatuck from Nebraska 17 years ago and have loved every minute. There is so much to do and enjoy. We drive through town and say "I can't believe we live here". Restaurants, shopping, boating, hiking, sight-seeing, plays, art.....it goes on and on.
Why they chose this property
If you love the cottage experience, you will love Big Blue. It is a 1920's home that has been updated but still has that cottage feeling. All wood floors, walnut walls, a country style kitchen and screened in porch are part of the quaintness. There are 3 deck areas in the back under the huge pine trees for you to enjoy. Saugatuck is 6 blocks away....a short walk through the old neighborhoods.
What makes this property unique
There is plenty of parking (you have the whole drive way so room for everyone's cars), you can walk downtown (6 blocks), pet friendly, Streaming TV, ice maker, WIFI, 3 decks, large back yard for games, screened in porch to drink coffee and watch the world go by.
Want to go to the beach? We have the chairs and towels, toys and life jackets.
