Located just down the street from one of the nicest beaches on Lake Michigan, this house was recently and renovated and furnished. You'll love the modern kitchen and bathroom. The property has a fire pit and fully screened porch. A few miles north of St. Joe, this is a great choice for a weekend getaway or family vacation, with shopping restaurants, great golf courses and wineries all nearby. You'll enjoy a new, sparkling clean, wonderfully furnished property that's west of M-63 and so close to the water. We would be happy to accommodate you!

John's Beachside Cottage is a cozy and cute little place that handled 4 adults and 2 toddlers quite well. The walk to the beach is nice, a bit long for babies but not for adults and once you get to the beach it's really beautiful. The location of the cottage is 15 minutes from 2-3 little tourist towns with fun shopping and restaurants. Loved it.

Comfortable and close to work

I spent a month here for a job nearby. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood just off Blue Star Hwy which makes it easy to get around the area. The host was very easy to contact and accommodating.

A quiet vacation

We enjoyed staying in this charming cottage with screened porch. It has easy access to the beach as well as an easy ride to Coloma or Benton Harbor/St. Joe.

Peaceful Retreat

Long weekend with my two youngest boys (14 & 7). Everything was perfect, clean and fully stocked. The area was beautiful and safe. Having our own "secret" beach was amazing! Very family friendly. Just what we needed to recharge and spend quality time together! St Joe was a short trip down the road. Definitely will be back again! Thank you!

Wonderful base for Sisters Weekend

My sister and I stayed here while we were enjoying a sisters weekend in SW Michigan. This was a great cozy location close to lots of great activities in the St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area.

Making memories

This was my kids 4th time staying here and they cant wait to go back. We love how quiet the neighborhood is (you dont even notice the shop next door). The beach is quiet and beautiful and the proximity to things to do makes for easy outings. We will definitely be back!

Feels very clean and fresh

We would stay here again! I gave four stars on location only because of it being by a very small commercial business. It is a very nice property and well maintained. The beds are comfy as is the living room furniture. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, glasses , etc. the screened front porch is delightful! Thanks!!

Great Location

Cozy, clean house. Great location between St Joe and South Haven. Private beach is cool, but it is a long walk down many stairs with a short ladder at end to get to beach. Beautiful walk down to beach, but wouldn't be able to take much with you. Thanks for everything!

A Place of Peace

We came to town for the transitioning of my mother. John was very accommodating and compassionate regarding our situation during this time. The location was well cared for and we diligently ensured that we kept the property in the pristine condition that we found it. This rental provided everything that we needed and any additional needs were conveniently located at a nearby convenience store. John was available on demand and very attentive with communications. We want to thank John from the bottom of our hearts for his stellar hospitality!

All we needed

Nice and clean property!! It had everything we need for my husband and i, and my two adult kids. We loved the location and although there was a factory next door, we were not bothered by it. The best part was having the beach so close. We enjoyed the private beach, and the walk was not bad at all! We washed dishes manually , on our last day we couldn't find dishwasher soap so we only loaded the dish washer as we run out of time. The laundry room was very convenient. The property is so close to my mother in law , so this will be our spot for future visits!! Highly recommend it!

Wonderful stay

The house had a great feel to it. Smelled good, was incredibly clean and easy to find. Everything was as depicted including being a little loud with road noise and the business next door, but I believe that was in the description or other reviews. Communicating with John was easy. He was kind and gracious with my needs. I'd absolutely stay again and hopefully bring some people with me. The property would be great for a family. I was so busy enjoying the area, I didn't get to the private beach till the last day. The stairs were a little much for me, but I saw a black squirrel when i was exploring and that was worth the visit! 100% would recommend.

Labor Day

Drove up for a wedding. This place was very cute with a great porch both front and back. Felt very private with no noise from the business next door but it was a holiday weekend. My kids were too big for the twin beds. I knew they would be so I brought my own blow up bed but it broke. We tried to use the fold away bed but they complained that it was super uncomfortable and preferred the floor. I would suggest a roll away bed and or new mattress for the couch. The map to the beach access was a bit confusing so I think the stairs we found were not the ones we were supposed to use but once you find it, it’s just beautiful. I would definitely rent again. Thanks for the coffee because we forgot to bring ours!
