We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful, well appointed rental with a great location... we loved starting and ending the day on the deck, watching the birds and the river go by. Thanks!
This house is beautiful. The scenery is amazing. So relaxing. The fireplace was just what we needed after our chilly hikes in the Shenandoah National Park. The location is away from the town of Luray but not too far. We had all the basic amenities provided such as hand soap and paper products. It was perfect for our 5 night stay. We would definitely return. Thanks James
The home was exactly as advertised. It was well stocked and accommodated the 3 of us comfortably. The property manager was great and responded to our inquiries quickly. The house has a nice view of the river and I was thrilled that we weren’t bothered by insects on the deck. The neighborhood was small, quiet and rural. We very much enjoyed the quirky Luray Rescue Zoo.

Master Bath had cat pee smell badDeck and steps had mud all over floor from bootsGrass was tall should have been cutThe big thing the three cameras I understand and ok with the front yard and driveway and parking area have cameras they are considered common property but the entire back yard and deck are not common areas and I did not give consent to be recorded at any time this is against the law and I would recommend the cameras in the back be removed before a law suite happens even if the lease says cameras are there the constitution overrides any policies on any rental agreement. Oh yes my wife also said the back windows were so dirty and have not been cleaned in a long time also grill had mold in really clean it I always bring my own grill this was a terrible customer experience

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet expectations and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.
Thank you for pointing out the issues regarding the odor, muddy steps, tall grass, grill, and windows. We sincerely apologize for these oversights and will ensure they are promptly addressed. Unfortunately, we’ve had a great deal of rain recently, which can delay lawn care and also lead to muddy steps. We apologize for the oversight and inconvenience.
Regarding the exterior cameras: we want to be clear that we fully respect guest privacy and maintain compliance with all laws. The presence and placement of exterior cameras are disclosed both prior to and after booking.
These cameras are located on the exterior of the home only and exist to help us monitor for safety, confirm compliance with our house rules (such as no parties or unauthorized pets), and protect both our guests and our property. This is standard practice, similar to what you'd find at hotels which also use exterior cameras for security. There are no interior cameras, and no footage invades private indoor areas.
We did receive notice during your stay about mud on the deck steps and regret that no other concerns were shared with us in real time. Had you reached out, we would have gladly clarified any misunderstandings and/or sent a team member to address your concerns promptly.
We hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity in the future.
