Why Bella "28 L" chose Portland

The house is located in a truly amazing location. You know that old adage: Location, Location, Location. Lots of amenities within the apt and also in the surrounding neighborhood. Its easily accesible to the airport, the highways to take you downtown or to the Gorge/Coast for a day, nice for foodies and Oregon's many great brewed treats. Super convenient neighborhood all around.

What makes this apartment unique

This is a private ground level apartment in a residential house. The ceilings are 8' tall. The place stays temperate all year round. And there are fans and heaters and seasonal AC shall you need extra air. You can walk around and take in Portland or you can sit around watching tv, reading, or drinking some yummy local brews or roasted coffee, wine, etc.

Its a newer building, with only 4 units, and it has all of the things that make a home comfortable: Cool, fun and modern furnishings, a washer/dryer, a few places to drink your coffee/tea, a nice place to relax indoors or right out front on the patio table. Hang out in the comfortable KING bed and watch a rented DVD, Direct TV Satellite, stream Netflix, Internet via Wi-Fi or take a walk around the amazing neighborhood. The living room, kitchen and dining area are all one big front space, furnished for each activity, while making for a fun interchange among guests while you cook.

There is a place outside for you to lock up your bicycles out of the elements shall you have them with you, or you can rent one at a nearby bike shop. We live near the 'Bicycle Highway'

Great Location, Great Stay

Traveled with two other adults to Portland for a long weekend to visit some friends near this neighborhood. This was the perfect place to stay. Everything -- from the rooms to the appliances -- was clean, cheery and convenient. As others have mentioned, there are multiple dining options, a grocery store and drug store within walking distance. It was so much better than staying in a hotel in another part of town. We had a great visit!

Loved it!

Super cute, very clean and well furnished! We were able to walk to some great restaurants and shopping-the location is so convenient. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. We loved being able to do our laundry so we could pack lighter! I would stay here again and would highly recommend this apartment rental!

Very neat place in a very good location!

Went for a long weekend and stayed in the downstairs unit. It was exactly what we needed! The owner was quick to respond and helpful from the moment we booked until the moment I got my refund deposit back. We would definitely come back here again.

Exactly what we needed and expected

We rented both upstairs and the downstairs units of this house for our family. Everyone in our group thought the house and the location was wonderful. The description and pictures were exactly what we got. The owner was quick to respond and helpful. A special treat was that the plum tree in the backyard was full of ripe fruit. We ate as much as we could handle, but there was hundreds more plums on the tree. We would definitely rent the units again.

Unhappy

After several hours talking to the ownwr we came to an agreement and I rented the apartment. Paid, etc. the next day as I am heading to Portland I get an email from VRBO that my fee was refunded and I have no place for me and my family. Real nice business practice.

Owner's Response: We had a rare coincidence - two bookings came in simultaneously for the same apartment from each of my booking sites. Trying to decide the best move, I believed that the numerous texts trying to bargain the price down for a family of 5, put you in the Very Rare "Unhappy- No Matter What" category of visitors. Your booking and then arrival dates were within 24 hours of each other, so this is considered very last minute. You had mentioned that there were other places at a better rate available to you, so we decided to invite the visitors that were more likely to enjoy themselves, and to appreciate the time, care, and large expense that goes into running a smooth & spotless home- hosting business. I let you know this right away, so you could secure one of the other options you mentioned. Fred, I'm sorry this was an inconvenience to you. And I hope you all have a fantastic week in Portland. It's a great place.

Good location.

We were near a market and several restaurants. We never left the area for dinners. We usually drove only 5-10 minutes to a restaurant. The two bedrooms worked out well for us. The high capacity washer and dryer were very efficient. The clothes were dry in minutes. The living area was small. The only real annoyance was the upstairs tenant waking up early and doing their bathroom activities (you hear everything!) since this is a basement apartment. Wearing the ear plugs was not an option for me. Perhaps ceiling installation might be a future consideration. Bella was available and ready to always offer assistance.
