Portland is all about its neighborhoods. And Alberta Arts is THE neighborhood. It’s where you want to be. And in Alberta Arts, this is THE vacation rental. It’s where you want to stay.

Why? Because we’ve equipped our 2-bedroom, 1-bath home with everything you need. We’ve hosted more than 6 years of happy guests. We’re the hands-on, always-on-call kind of hosts (yet invisible when you don't need us). And we really care about your experience with us.

Here’s why you’ll love it here:

♦ We have the BEST LOCATION: Located in the heart of the Alberta Arts District and boasting a 90+ walk score, The Green Gingko GuestHouse is within 2 blocks of restaurants, bars, breweries, yoga, shops + more. (Petite Provence=my favorite)

♦ Close-in neighborhood: We’re just a 15-minute drive/Uber ride to downtown Portland/PDX/OCC, 30 seconds to the bus stop, and easily accessible to the greater Portland area adventures, the Coast, and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

♦ And the home is really WELL APPOINTED: We’ve left no detail ignored. From spices to bottle openers, from cribs to satellite TV, from complimentary toiletries to plenty of linens, Home Name is equipped with everything you’ll need. (except your clothing and food)

♦ OUTDOOR LIVING: The neighborhood is very family-friendly! Take a quick walk to one of our nearby cafes, or even parks (with playgrounds)

The cute front patio sports a table and chairs, plus a gas BBQ for your use. Here you can enjoy your morning coffee and the fresh Oregon air.

♦ AMPLE FREE PARKING on our street/block

We’ve been in business for years. We are trustworthy. We are dependable. And we deliver on our promises. But, don’t take our word for it: read our reviews! Our guests speak for themselves.

As far as Portland locations go, ours is perfect! Tucked into a leafy, tree-lined section of NE Portland, the Alberta Arts District is a vibrant arts and foodie paradise – quintessential Portland and a destination unto itself, and yet also easily accessible to downtown, to the Coast and the Gorge, and to the greater Portland area.

Alberta Arts is one of Portland's premier and most coveted neighborhoods: an established and lively district, 15 minutes to downtown, close to everything, and charmingly eclectic. It’s easy to get around on foot, your own car, shared transportation (including Uber), or public transport (3 major bus lines within 3 blocks of the front door).

Here, we’re a city not just of drinkers, but of explorers: in Portland and the Alberta Arts District, in particular, we brew, we ferment (kombucha and cider), we frequent taprooms, we offer growler fill-ups, and we even have family-friendly brewpubs. And, did we mention? We also roast many coffee brands – several within blocks!

Step out our front door and here’s what else awaits:

• Renowned pubs, restaurants, coffeehouses, bars, and farm-to-table cuisine, including Salt & Straw, Bernie's Southern Bistro, Yakuza, Beast DOC, and Wilder, not to mention 16th and Killingsworth with Hat Yai, Handsome Pizza, Podnahs Pit, Pine State Biscuits, Proud Mary and food carts/food trucks, and PIZZA galore.

• Kennedy School/McMenamins: This historic school building has been renovated into an Alberta Arts must-visit, with restaurants, bars and taverns, a brewery, cafés, gift shop, spas, movie theater, soaking pool, & more!

• New Seasons Grocery where you can find all the organic, or not, products you’ll want

• Alberta Street and its incredible restaurant scene, including ethnic, fusion, and other cuisines, and local galleries and boutiques

• 30th Street Restaurant District, with coffeehouses, bars, and restaurants headlined by well-known chefs: farm-to-table cuisine, fusion meals, craft cocktails, and so much more – a real foodie heaven!

• Shopping – boutiques, consignment shops, art galleries, and more – with NO SALES TAX!

• Family-friendly parks and child-friendly shops & restaurants

• The Alberta Rose Theater

• Art galleries, including Ampersand, Antler, and Guardino

• Yoga studio, gym, Pilates

• Easy access to the Oregon Wineries, Columbia Gorge, and the Oregon Coast

There’s AMPLE free street parking on our street.

We’ve been in business for years, and we like to think there’s nothing we haven’t thought of. From the big things, like your own private BBQ patio, to smaller details – we’re talking things like highchairs, a washer/dryer, bottle openers, teapots, A/C, blow dryers, spices, complimentary toiletries, and everything else you need – Home Name has it.

After thousands of happy vacationers, we know what our guests need. That said, if there’s something you can’t find while you’re here, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to help!

PLEASE NOTE that our terms differ from VRBO’s boilerplate. Our terms take precedence.

In all seasons except winter, we generally require a 3- or 5-night minimum, if you will be staying over a portion of a weekend. That said, there are always exceptions.

About Bella

I’ve lived in (and loved) Portland for 22 years. My children and I love exploring greater Portland and especially our own front yard: the creativity and vibrance of Alberta Street – the restaurants and food trucks, museums and shops that our neighborhood has to offer.

Of course, we love sharing Alberta Streets with other families, too. And, we hope, with you!

Bella purchased this apartment in 2007

Why Bella chose Northeast Portland

Northeast Portland and, specifically, the Alberta Arts District offers the best of the The City of Roses: so many incredible eateries (restaurants, food trucks, street carts, cafés, breweries, and more!), shops, museums and other creative outlets, just minutes from our front door.

You can walk to the grocery store and pharmacy. We have access to several public transportation routes and highways to downtown, the coast, and to the Gorge, Wine Country, Hood River, and Multnomah Falls. And Alberta Street is also close to downtown (just ~15 minutes by car) and very convenient to the airport, too.

To us, this is the best of all worlds in Portland.

What makes this apartment unique

This newer home has all of the things that make a home comfortable: Cool, fun and modern furnishings, clean temperate environment, a washer/dryer, a nice place to relax indoors or right out front on the little patio table. Hang out in the comfortable KING bed and watch Direct TV Satellite, stream Netflix, Internet, or take a walk around the amazing neighborhood. As an integrated Space, The living room, kitchen and dining areas are furnished for each activity, while making for a fun interchange among guests while you cook, eat or entertain.

Great Location, Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Traveled with two other adults to Portland for a long weekend to visit some friends near this neighborhood. This was the perfect place to stay. Everything -- from the rooms to the appliances -- was clean, cheery and convenient. As others have mentioned, there are multiple dining options, a grocery store and drug store within walking distance. It was so much better than staying in a hotel in another part of town. We had a great visit!

  • 5 of 5

Bella was so great to work with and property was perfect for us! We enjoyed Alberta street and everything the Arts district had to offer and it was easy to get to downtown from here as well. The condo was perfectly apportioned with all necessities we needed. We traveled with 2 teenage and one adult son and didn't feel cramped at all, we had plenty of space and so much to do! I would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again!!!

Exactly what we needed and expected

  • 5 of 5

We rented both upstairs and the downstairs units of this house for our family. Everyone in our group thought the house and the location was wonderful. The description and pictures were exactly what we got. The owner was quick to respond and helpful. A special treat was that the plum tree in the backyard was full of ripe fruit. We ate as much as we could handle, but there was hundreds more plums on the tree. We would definitely rent the units again.
