Welcome to paradise in NW Florida, tagged the Forgotten Coast for a reason. This pristine stretch of coastal land has remained very much untouched, uninhabited and unspoiled. SummerCamp Beach offers an array of outdoor activities such as kayaking, swimming in the private pool, fishing, nature trails, beach, bike riding and so much more. There is an 18 hole championship golf course only 5 minutes away. You can also charter deep sea fishing guides, in-shore fishing guides, or simply relax on a hammock and let time slip away. This home, Coastal Pines, is a throwback Florida style home with all the modern amenities: wrap around porches, outdoor fireplace, 4 bedrooms plus a bunk room, kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Once you get here, you will never want to leave!

The home had more room than the photos showed!
This was our second trip to the Forgotten Coast. It is such a great way to relax and recharge! The home was clean, the cabinets were well stocked, the furniture was comfortable, the screened porch was such a blessing in the evening and there is plenty of parking. We were on the beach 3 days and did not see a soul! Complete solitude. One thing to remember....bring everything you will need including food..... there is nothing "right around the corner".
I really wanted to see a bear but I was unable to....maybe that is just as well...lol. We did see horseshoe crabs, stingrays, blue crabs and my daughter's friends caught a couple saltwater catfish! The kayaks are a special bonus.
We can't wait to return.
GREAT TIME! GREAT FISHING! GREAT PROPERTY!
QUIET, RELAXING, AFFORDABLE. WE WILL DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR..
Quiet, secluded and relaxing
We are a family of 8 and a relaxing vacation can be somewhat elusive. We were able to achieve this at Coastal Pines. The house had plenty of room for us to spread out when we wanted to and congregate in the open floor plan downstairs. The huge wrap around porch provided hours of comfortable outdoor relaxation. The few small things that came up related to the house were quickly addressed by the property manager.
If you are looking for a beach town with tons of commercial ventures and entertainment options....this is NOT your place. We went into this vacation looking for a place to retreat, enjoy each other and make memories. We did not want distractions. We wanted our options to be limited to sleeping in, going to the beach/pool, game time, movie time and just basic recharging. This location and house were perfect for this. We will be back. I hope to make this a regular spot.
We really enjoyed the beach. It's protected from big waves and currents by the shoals. If you have small kids you appreciate this. They can play in the water and you dont have to worry about them getting battered or swept away. The flip side is no wave riding. When the tide is out you can find all kinds of neat sea life. The mullet fish provide endless entertainment as well. We maybe saw a handful of other folks at the beach during our week stay.
The kayaks and canoe were a huge hit. Great areas to explore.
The area is teaming with wildlife. We saw black bear, deer, alligators, dolphins, crabs and starfish.
The pool at the club house is well maintained and fun to play in. A deep end and diving board would be a nice improvement.
Plan a day trip to St.George Island....it's awesome.
Lovely house with lots of room. Just some minor improvements needed.
The grill was not clean. So much grease could be fire hazard. Outdoor shower was broken. Son-in-law fixed it. Need more than one extra blanket. Older people are more cold natured even at 75 degrees. Also would be beneficial for downstairs tv to be larger. Several pieces of furniture inside wobbly. Son-in-law tightened it.
The house was perfect! Just as pictured
We all loved our stay at Coastal Pines. It was very quiet and serine. The pool was fabulous and the kayaks were a great option. The house is clean and well stocked. Don’t hesitate to stay here!
We can’t wait to come back!
Gorgeous location, amazing home, and fabulous vacation
If you want to get away from it all with some peace and quiet this is the place! Living in Europe, we wanted to show our children some of the unspoiled areas of the USA with animals galore. We found it in this location. Everything was perfect. I recommend a trip to Wakulla Springs, also. The upstairs bunk room with a large walk in "play area" was a hit for the children. We had three families there and never felt on top of each other.
A big thanks to Erika for the correspondence in advance and the personal touch. She made sure you felt welcome and at ease.
