ACCESSIBILITY - 2-story cabin, 1 step to enter, ramp (available on request) - Bedroom & bathroom on 1st floor The property features secure, keyless entry with both a gated entrance and front door equipped with digital locks. Your unique access codes will be sent to you before check-in for a seamless arrival experience.

You are welcome to use the entire indoor and outdoor space! The outdoor space includes and outdoor bar, patio, wrap-around deck, and grassy area -- perfect for gatherings. The Manzanita Estate (sister property, separate listing) is available on-site with its own nightly rate. The 2 homes together share the 27 acres. If you would like to reserve both houses, please reach out -- we love family reunions!

Pool/Hot Tub is available: $100 per day:
⇀Hot Tub can be heated year round.
⇀Pool is heated only during the warmer months: May, June, July, August, September, October and November.

➤Our water comes from a mountain well! It is delicious! Please be patient, as it may take a while to heat up for your shower!

NOTE: Only guests staying at Red Hawk Ridge are allowed on site. Visitors other than overnight guests are not allowed on the property without express permission from RHR Property Management. This is in accordance to SD County Ordinance. Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Japatul House is part of a cherised family home that has been part of the Alpine community for three generations. We ask that you enjoy the space with the same consideration you'd show your own home. While we'll respond as quickly as possible to any concerns, please note we don't have on-site staff available 24/7.

The house was great, we love the log cabin feel and the views are amazing. The views and grounds are spectacular.The frisbee golf course was a hit with our adult kids.

Fun and relaxing

This was a beautiful setting for our entire family to meet up. Plenty of shared space and spots to get your own space. The disc golf course was a highlight. The kitchen is well stocked. Very responsive property managers who got us whatever we needed within ten minutes. We would all come again.

Wonderful Place to Stay! Didn't want to Leave!

The home was beautiful. Beds very comfortable. Cupboards & Pantry stocked well. The kids loved the toy nook/hiding place. We had a very busy long weekend, and our only regret was not being able to hang out at the house longer.

Family fun

My family, parents, and siblings all went. There was enough room for all of us. It's in the mountains so except critters in and out of the cabin. It is nice and has things there in the event you forget things. Drive to town is a drive, about 30+ minutes depending on traffic and where you are planning on driving to. The company uses part of the ground as a wedding event it is nice, and you can see why its gorgeous place. Thankfully no one else was there during our stay as we have a child that wonders and does not speak. It is peaceful and beautiful to rent here. It was tricky to get the jacuzzi on, we email management and they never responded. We ended up figuring it out so it was fine in the end. They do have mice in the cabin that blessed us with their presence the last night but quickly left. You will need to sign into their Wi-Fi if you wish to have internet if not you will not get any signal, which at times was great.

Japatul Valley in Alpine, CA is God's country, and we consider Red Hawk Ridge its bright, warm spot. It is quiet and private, yet 5 minutes from the 8-HWY, making the property accessible to downtown Alpine, and the rest of San Diego.

What makes this property unique

This property is special. Since purchasing in 2022, it has undergone a two year interior and exterior renovation, while maintaining the gorgeous log home aesthetic. Thoughtful detail and design of Red Hawk Ridge has been curated to showcase modern, country living. RHR Manzanita is situated at the foothills of Cleveland National Park and 40 minutes from San Diego Airport, making the location private, yet accessible.
