If you are looking for a relaxing get-away, this condo at the Emerald Isle is the place! This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo has been recently renovated through out. It carries a bright and comfortable décor throughout, has a fully equipped kitchen that makes meal prep a breeze and has a private balcony that directly overlooks the beach and Gulf of Mexico so that you can catch sunset each night while kicking back and relaxing. This condo is centrally located in North Redington Beach not far from restaurants, shops and other activities. Free wireless internet service. Coin operated laundry conveniently located on floors 2, 4 and 6. PLEASE NOTE: This is a non-smoking property with the exception of 2 designated outside smoking areas.

The Emerald Isle is a direct beachfront building on North Redington Beach. This building has 2 or 3 bedroom option condos, all which will have direct views of the Gulf of Mexico from their own private balcony. The area is great too! Redington Shores is ideally located and close to everything. You will find John’s Pass Village approximately 2.5 miles to the South which is filled with shopping, restaurants, water activities and entertainment for all. Redington Beach is a quaint beach town that is just a short drive outside of St Petersburg, a city loaded with museums, art galleries, restaurants and shopping. Experience the surrounding towns by hopping on the Jolley Trolley and enjoying the many sights and activities known to the area. Beautiful stretches of beach, great spots for fishing, swimming, snorkeling, jet skiing, surfing and more. You will surely have a blast building sand castles at Redington Beach. Feel like riding some roller coasters while in town? Busch Gardens in Tampa is only a 45 minute drive away, or hit the Disney parks and all the other Orlando attractions in a 2 hour drive. The Florida Aquarium in Tampa, Clearwater Aquarium, Hard Rock Casino, beautiful state parks and miles of beaches are just a handful of reasons to visit our Pinellas County beaches!

My stay

Great updates unit! Great location! Everything was great except the master bedroom mattress! It was the hardest bed I have EVER slept on. I slept on the floor on the rug in the family room 2 nights.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Being on the beach is terrific however, for what we paid, expected more. A/C broke second night with no service until the next day. Florida in the summer requires A/C regardless of holidays. Seems regular maintenance would have prevented. One parking space is very difficult. Furniture is dated. Bathrooms could use updating (shower heads, fixtures, no hooks, lighting, refresh the caulk.) Stepped on a fish hook in the kitchen. Had to clean the BR ceiling fans so we didn't get covered with the build up. Other units are more modernized. Laundry on our floor was very convenient although could use updating. Best part was spending time with our friends.

Lovely place but in need of some TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love to stay at Emerald Isle but this particular unit is in need of a refurbishment. The unit has not been updated for a few years, the bedding and furnishings are now several years old and need to be replaced. There is a very nasty stain on the carpet in the lounge area and the balcony floor is very unsightly. The carpets in general are warn and not very clean.Having said all that, the views are stunning and we will return to Emersld Isle in the future.

Emerald Isle Unit 604

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd year in a row at the EI, our first stay in 604. We returned to the EI because of the location (right on the beach and balconies overlooking the water). Unit 604 is a nice unit. It is clean and has some updates in a building that was constructed probably in the '70s. The sad thing is that 604 could be a spectacular unit with just a bit of TLC. There is a huge, gross stain on the carpeting right in the middle of the living room - I'm uncertain why all of the living room carpet hasn't been replaced. The floor of the balcony would not appear "dirty" if a coat of paint were applied. Recessed kitchen lights were inoperable and hanging out of their shell. Tub faucets are needing replacement as is the kitchen faucet. None of these issues are terribly expensive and yet if fixed/replaced would probably earn this unit five stars in every area. They definitely detract from the value that visitors desire.

Location in quieter area, nice view and pool. Needs major cleaning, some updating and maintenance

-Checkin process info: very last minute info but ended up working -Great view, pool nice. -Problems the whole week with patio door, glass door, then screen. Most windows were VERY difficult to open or close. -Water in whole building went out for almost 24 hrs, and heard it did same week before. -Ice maker in frig broke but possibly from water issue and flooded freezer. -Light bulb missing in lamp on day one also was replaced… they did come when called but feel you shouldn’t have to bother with all these issues for 3 days. - Bottomline: Cute place but needs major cleaning, painting …carpets were filthy, pics don’t capture that…. -Lack of towels, 1 bath per person but understand now we could of called again and/ or go to office for more. If they’d clean, fix all Issues and windows, this could be a nice place for the price.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have family and friends who all travel to this area every year during the winter so we decided to join them this year. The view from the condo couldn’t be beat, but overall the condo felt a little run down and not as clean as it could be, especially the bathrooms. Out of all the families who rented, we ended up paying the most per night and I’d say our place was the least up to date and wasn’t as equipped as others. We had a good time overall, but we will probably try a different place next year. We booked last minute so we didn’t have a whole lot of options. It was nice that the trolley stop was right out front, we used that a lot.One issue we had was the city main water broke for the building and was out almost a full 24 hours. I understand that it was out of their control, but we were given no solution to the problem and left to figure things out on our own and we had 2 small kids with us. We ended up flushing the toilets with buckets of pool water throughout the day and brushing our teeth with bottled water which isn’t really what we expected to be doing on our vacation. We even ran into a few people in the lobby who were getting a hotel for the night.

Great view and location - Just OK apartment

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This apartment has a fabulous view and beautiful beach. It is very tired and in need of an entire update. From the broken patio and screen door that do not stay on the tracks, to the Formica kitchen countertop with a separation at the seam, to the guest bathroom with blue painters tape keeping drawers closed and finally the master shower with mold and no water pressure; this entire apartment is extremely tired, outdated, with old uncomfortable furniture and in desperate need of love and attention to complement its excellent views and location. What we found most interesting is that in the master bedroom, on each nightstand, was a note asking guests not to sleep on the pillow sham. The pillow sham was equally as old and used as the rest of the apartment.

The condo was a different one than previously rented and we were a little disappointed. We found the sliding glass doors were off track but he was able to fix them eventually. The ice maker did not work even after following the instructions on the refrigerator. The doors on the master bathroom tub were molded and so were the tiles . The doors also weren’t opening and closing properly. We were a little disappointed with this unit and it could use some updates. Emerald Isle facility is still a very clean and well kept facility. The grounds are well kept and the pool was clean . Still enjoyed our vacation.

Not what I expected

It's a nice idea, but falls short of advertisement. The area and beach were A+, but the condo was filthy. We took the sheets off the bed to lay across the coach and chair because they were so dirty. The door handle was broken and guest bathroom toilet was leaking. I contacted the rental company and they sent someone as soon as possible to make the repairs. The kitchen was well stocked with items to cook with. The rental company refunded the cleaning fee we paid at reservation time. I would not stay here again.

Week long get away

There are many great things about this property including beach access, nice clean pool, and location. There is an obstructed view from the balcony given the unit is smaller and setback from others. Opportunities for improvement - lanai chairs were broken and unusable. Beach umbrella broken? And both bathrooms had mold and mildew that we tried to clean to no success

Emerald Isle 604

The location was great! The slider was difficult to open and close and living room furniture needs to be replaced. We had to call to get replacement chairs for the patio as they were totally falling apart and wondered why that wasn’t communicated when the rental was cleaned so they would be there for us the first day. Master bath shower was disgusting with mold. Second bedroom was impossible to cool down. We will be looking for another place next year.

Red Beach

Condo very nice and clean Bed mattress a little hard Problems with patio door kept coming off track and gets stuck. Pool was way too cold. Maintenance said they wouldn’t let him turn heat on. Didn’t use much. Was way too cold. Advertised heated pool.
