Staci has been vacationing on Treasure Island since 1998 and fell in love with the island the minute she stepped foot on the beach!
Staci purchased this Cottage in 2012
Why Staci chose Treasure Island
The cottage is located in the perfect spot, steps to the beach and just a 15 minute walk to John's Pass. We also love the privacy provided by the fenced in complex.

A lovely little oasis
Cottage #2 was the perfect escape for our family of three. Everything was fresh and new in the cottage. The kitchen was very well appointed (I have never stayed in a rental with semi-decent knives before, it was awesome). Linens were all new, soft, and fluffy. Lots of little extras like beach towels, chairs, sand toys. It was a little bit of an adjustment to sleep near and fairly busy road, but by the second night I barely noticed it. Far enough away from the bars and shops to be peaceful, but only a short walk over the bridge to John's Pass. The beach is half a block away, and no need to cross any busy roads.
Wonderful time - would do it again
THE COTTAGE: Awesome!
Clean, comfortable, well-equipped with modern appliances and amenities, but still with that cosy beach-cottage atmosphere. Everything works great (air conditioning, appliances etc). It has pretty much everything you need, from the laundry facility just outside your door, to little things like a million hooks attached to the deck for hanging towels and bathing suits, and storage units attached to the inside of the bedroom doors. Someone put a lot of thought into this cottage! This is one of a cluster of cottages that share a VERY PRIVATE enclosed courtyard, with palm trees, tables and chairs, and protection from the rain.
THE AREA: Awesome
You're a two minute walk from the spacious, beautiful beach, and you're right on Gulf Blvd, so there's excellent grocery stores and pharmacies etc. There's no shortage of great restaurants, in Treasure Island as well as the other beach communities up and down the gulf coast, within a few minutes drive. It's a quiet, safe-feeling community. Seems like no one drives too fast, and the people are very friendly. I rented a bicycle for a week, and I can say the drivers are VERY courteous! (wonderful place to cycle, with bike lanes all over, and the Pinellas Trail nearby)
THE OWNER: Awesome
Staci was great to deal with. We actually didn't have to deal with her a lot, because there were no problems. But she messaged us the day after we arrived, to see if everything was okay. When the hair dryer stopped working, she had another one delivered immediately.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Awesome
Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone.
Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in treasure island, anything and everything u need is within
Property we stayed at was perfect, can’t wait to visit again
Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary
Loved the entire area! I loved the fact this gem is pet friendly. The cottage is just as described, very, very clean and comfortable. Staci has done a great job at anticipating what her guests may need or want. The outside court is clean and quiet, landscape very well kept. Take a few steps to the wooden bridge and voilá the beach is at your feet. The outdoor shower comes in very handy so do the beach chairs and umbrellas. The fact there are a couple of guess parking spaces is really appreciated. Nothing negative to say about the property, except the coded door lock gets a little difficult at times. John's Pass is a few blocks away full of restaurants, bars and stores, worth to try. This cozy cottage, the amazing beach and the beautiful views made our 26th anniversary one to remember. Thank you Staci. Looking forward to visit again in the near future.
Great little cottage, just a short stroll to the beach. Everything you need for a relaxing stay.
The cottage was nice and clean. Everything you thought you may need was already there. My only feedback would be if you are a light sleeper you may need earplugs as it is right on the main Blvd. Overall a nice little gem! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
This was a great spot! Adorable cottage just a hop, skip and a jump away from the beach! This was not a really busy beach area, which we loved! Had everything we needed as far as dishes and utensils to fix meals there. Beds were so comfy! Great price! Would definitely stay again!
Gulf Sounds, the 'Treasure' of Treasure Island beach cottages, is an easy, safe 30 yard stroll to the beach boardwalk and the pristine beaches of Treasure Island. Our bungalow/cottage is located in a small, intimate resort and is very private yet in the middle of all the activities of Treasure Island and Madeira Beach. You can access the beach in less than a minute and easily walk to World Famous John's Pass with its numerous fresh seafood restaurants, unique shops, ice cream parlors, chartered fishing boats, and waterfront bars. The Beach trolley stops at our corner, so you can visit all the beaches for one low fare per day. A public boat ramp is across the street. One small dog may be allowed with owners prior approval and the payment of a pet fee.

PLEASE NOTE: VRBO Has made a mistake on the tax amount you will be charged and is not calculating the taxes properly. Instead of fixing the issue, they are asking the owners to bill the additional amount you. Tourist tax is 13% for the State of Florida and Pinellas County combined. They made a deal with Pinellas County to collect that tax at a discount, but are neglecting to collect the tax for the state of Florida. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed.
