Overview

About the property

Large cabin deck, dock holds two boats and 2 jet ski ramps

This family cabin sleeps a maximum of 14 people and had two refrigerators to offer it's guest. When you walk in this cabin's front door, to the left are two bedrooms and a bathroom. If you turn to the right at the front door there's a large kitchen with a nice and comfortable family dinner table that seats 10 to 12 people. Then off the kitchen you have two choices: down stairs is the living room with a tv and then sliding glass door that opens up to a big balcony with an amazing view of the lake. If you go up the stairs instead, there is a bedroom with a double bed and then continuing up the stairs to a large loft that has two twin beds one has a trundle. In addition, there is a pyramid bunkbed that includes a double bed, twin on top, and with a trundle under it. The next loft has two twin beds.

We have plenty of setting on our patio deck outside our cabin with a bbq. Then when you are ready to go to the water, there is a walk down to the private dock.

By the dock there is a horse shoe pit and plenty of room to invite friends over.

Water is up to our dock normally during the months of May-August. In September, the water is lower and we will not guarantee that water will be up to the dock.

About Tammy Johnson

Our family has been blessed with summer vacations on Bass Lake for 15 years. The reason is that my mother grew up on a lake and wanted to make sure her kids and grandkids knew how to swim and ski. We have and continue to build some great memories for all of us.

Tammy Johnson purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Tammy Johnson chose Bass Lake

This cabin has been a part of our family for ten years. When my mom and dad saw this cabin they fell in love with it and purchased it. We love the view of the lake and moutains that it gives us. We have worked hard to improve the outside area to make it just the way we want it. It's decorated with Bears throughout. As part of our family tradition we go to the Fork's for lunch. They are known for having the best hamburgers in the area. Then at night we take a slow boat ride over to Miller's and have ice cream. We love the location right off Road 274.

What makes this cabin unique

Whether we have just family members or friends over, it's perfect if you want to relax and enjoy the quietness and the breathe taken views. Or if you want to have a fun time in the water in the summer or enjoying the snow during the winter. The cabin deck has 3 tables and lots of extra chairs. Around the side of the house is a deck leading to the BBQ. There is a path walking down to the water that's lighted for those night rides and walks. The large deck down by the water gets morning sun and afternoon shade. It's perfect in the hot summers and cold winters. Our private dock is located in the Lakeshore Beach Club cove and there's a swim dock you can swim too. Our dock can tie up two boats and has two jet ski ramps to rest on.

Beautiful home on the lake. 3 kayaks came with the house and our kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the lake. Hope it's available next summer for us!

Awesome house!!!

  • 5 of 5

Love this house!!! Amazing view of the lake with a beautiful dock. Caught several fish off the dock! You can pull your boat right up to the dock; a good 15ft of water. The lake was a beautiful 80 degrees! Also, the two decks have amazing views! Great house to rent!!!

Had a wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

We loved the house lots of parking and the beach area and dock were great.

The only problem was the trash situation, maybe a metal bear proof enclosure and an extra trash can. We would love to come back. The kids had so much fun at the dock, and the jet ski parking and boat docking was great, we spent most of our day at the lake, loved it. It was nice to have A/C and wi-fi the boys all brought there nintendo switch and they could all play together, that kept them occupied they loved it. Having the separate bedroom area for the adults was great, you could go in the bedroom and it was nice and quite. Having 2 refrigerators worked out well. Lots of seating in the living room we could all watch tv or play games together,Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying at our family cabin. I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation and thanks for the feedback. We thought that adding a second refrig would help our guest. After your stay, we built a stronger enclosure around our garbage containers to keep the bear out. So far it has worked. Hopefully we have a return customer for next year. Thanks again for your positive review for our family cabin.

Relaxing and wonderful

  • 5 of 5

We sure needed a relaxing vacation. The water level was low but the view from the dock was amazing. The dock got the morning sun and the afternoon shade. We rented jet skis and brought our boat with us and had a fantastic time. The house was open and I love the deck. We fit about 20 people comfortably for a bbq. No parking problems, just lots of relaxing and playing in the water. I'm renting this cabin again next year.

Well what a diffrence a year makes!!

  • 1 of 5

In 2013 we stayed at this house and had a fabulous time! We were 2 families with teenagers, One of the best vacations we've ever had! So of course we booked again last year...2014.....WOW...well first of all no one warned us about the drought and the water level! The deck was on shore......to get to the water you had to hike through a mud bank!. Awful!! No where to secure jetskis or boat.! Across from the house theres a guy that doesnt want anyone to enjoy their vacation.....he shouts at the kids whether on jet skis or jumping from the rocks. ....I think the biggest insult last year was after such a disappointing stay the owners had the audacity to withhold a substancial amount of money from our deposit. Just sent it to us (4 weeks after our stay) with a note saying black mark on chair and broken lamp in living room!! NO DISCUSSING Well we cleaned the house before we left...also paid upfront the cleaning fee (its just the owners that come and give place a quick once over) WE NEVER SAT IN LIVING ROOM!!!! NOT ONCE! our kids are grown ...we left no black mark on chair!!! Such a greedy shame! We WILL NOT be going back to this house...we will for sure be going back to bass lake...Loved it!!!

Owner's Response: When we rent our family's cabin out, we expect people to take care of it like we do with care and respect. I had a cleaning lady with me that we hirer and we both noticed the chair with black streaks on it, the broken lamp, and trash every where we picked up.
