This home in the heart of Historic Magnolia Springs is built of heart pine floors and walls throughout. A large covered porch was just recently added. The master bedroom has a Simmons BeautyRest pillow-top queen mattress as well as a 30 inch television. The second bedroom is on the opposite end of the house and has full size bunk beds plus a twin trundle and full bath. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and the large deck has plenty of seating and a propane grill. The pristine Magnolia River is mere steps away with the neighborhood pier which is perfect for fishing, swimming and launching kayaks. (three provided)
We are originally from this general area and live in nearby Daphne, Alabama with our two school age girls, and a menagerie of animals.
Leah purchased this cottage in 2012
We have been playing on the Magnolia river for years- boating, swimming and canoeing. It was our dream to have a home there. We fell in love with this house many years before we were able to purchase it.
The cottage feel to this house, with heart pine floors and walls, combined with the close proximity to the river, was really what drew us to this house. Additionally, we love the beauty and charm of the historic town and the majestic live oaks.
We really enjoyed our stay at Magnolia Time Cottage. It is well equipped and very comfortable. It is conveniently located near the river in a very peaceful area. Great place to fish, walk, view all the interesting architecture, or just relax. Near Fairhope and Foley so there is shopping, excellent restaurants, and movies. Highly recommended.
We turn into picturesque Magnolia Springs, stepping back in time, weave through a few streets of overhanging Oaks and arrive at a most charming home nestled within a natural circle of Magnolia trees, flowering bushes and pine trees; nature at its best. It is November and we stay for the whole month; lucky us. This perfect location is a jumping off point, driving north to explore Foley, Fairhope, Daphne, Spanish Fort or Mobile: great restaurants in every town; amazing libraries; excellent shopping. Heading south, of course, takes you to the beach but wait! The Magnolia River is steps away from the back door; fishing, boating, kayaking at the ready. The house has wonderful windows in every room, a great kitchen and gathering space, and in the living room - it is November - a fireplace. The house is cozy, each of the rooms has its own personality; love the sound of the trees when the wind is blowing.
Leah, a pleasure to meet you and Jimmy and claim you as friends.

My family and I needed a place to stay while we did some remodeling at our home. After a long stressful day working on our home, we relaxed at this beautiful home. I sat outside the from door and the back door and, just enjoyed the peace and quiet. If you are looking for a nice quiet clean and cozy home to stay at in order to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, I highly recommend this home. Thank you for having us Miss Leah!

Great house with all the comforts of home. We would have liked a screen porch. We would like to come back for a longer stay.
Was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had. We felt at home in the house and it was so beautiful. Made us fall in love with Magnolia Springs and the residents. We could live there and be very happy.
An absolute joy staying here! The pictures do not do this cottage justice! It was better than we had imagined. Thought about staying on the beach and changed our minds last minute and best decision we made for a vacation by far. The owners are wonderful and so easy to get a hold of and they are more than helpful. Everything you would need at home is here and more! The streets are beautiful, the house is beautiful, the river with the dock and water is beautiful! Neighbors were very friendly! My kids (7&9) enjoyed the stay more than we did and cried to stay longer. Wished we could but we will be back! I promise you that if you stay here it will be the best stay. So much better to have a home (cottage) to have on vacation than be stuck in a hotel/condo. You just have to see it to believe it. Thank you again for sharing this piece of Heaven with us!
Our cottage is located in the heart of historic Magnolia Springs, AL. The community's name comes from the ever-flowing springs and the abundance of aged magnolia trees that grace nearly every residential garden. A majestic canopy of giant oak trees lines Oak Street, just one block away. During your stay, you can view waterbirds, go fishing or swimming from the neighborhood pier, just a few steps away. While you are enjoying the pier, you can see the the only remaining river route US mailman in the continental United States (see pic). For lunch or dinner, Jesse’s Award Winning Restaurant is a short 10 minute walk down Oak Street. The beautiful town and river are perfect for travelers who enjoy walking, running, biking and water sports as well as sightseers and birdwatchers. The location is a very convenient drive to shopping, in Foley or Fairhope, to Gulf beaches, and to many restaurants and spas.
