Great location and value
Great location and perfect rental for multiple families. The pool table, hot tub, and double porches gave a variety of options for the different interests of our large group. The beds were comfortable and the large kitchen table was great for meals together or a game of cards. It was kid friendly with very few small decorations for a toddler to get into. I would highly recommend this property. It was a great value.
Less than we expected.
Cabin was advertised as a 4 bedroom, but was actually a 3 bedroom w/open loft. The cabin is very dated and in need of beds and bedding. No where near enough cookware to cook for 16. Over all cleanliness was not great. A lot of dust and in need of a deep clean. However, when the air conditioning quit the rental agent was very quick to help and make us as comfortable as possible.
the cabin worked well for our family
With that being said there are a few things I would have liked to know prior to renting. And a few things I feel I need to share to make the owners aware of to ensure an even better stay for future guest.
Keeping in mind that we had 15 people the items the kitchen was stocked with were not large enough to prepare meals for 14 people. I brought a lot of items with me based on the reviews however the reviews were not specific so I wanted to be sure to be specific.
Cabin needs/ guest must bring......
Dutch oven(large pot) ended up buying one
Cookie sheets ( there were none)
2cup measuring cup( set of measuring cups are there)
Pot holders ( none provided , I used the kitchen towels)
Kitchen towels (only 2)
Kitchen washcloths (only 2)
Front door knob is very loose
Every door creeks needs wd40
More toilet paper needed to be left(about 7 rolls )
More trash bags(there where about 5)
More paper towels(partial and 1 new)
Mosquito Spray ( I brought backyard spray and sprayed the hot tub inclosure each night prior to going in)
Pots n Pans ( current are NOT non stick)
No foil/plastic wrap ect
*Trash was NEVER picked up and ended up over flowing... if bears were an issue we would have been in trouble.
*Oven temp is off... you need to watch food and not go be timer( it took over an hour to cook tater tots)
*The pullout couch( in the game room) have a very poor mattress. If the owner is going to replace it a futon would be suggested.
*the recliner in the living room is broken... the arm to put the feet up is broken.
I feel there should be better pictures on the website. To really show the rooms better ( if it is possible) the loft is roomy but is a loft so no privacy, however there would be plenty of room for a pack n play or air mattress . The “5th bedroom(futon)is attached to the upstairs queen bedroom. Ideal for parents/ children my opinion not good for two couples as you must pass through queen bedroom to enter futon room.
Very important.... there is NO usable yard space. We were very disappointed. We brought bags/ ladder ball etc and had no space to play(No area for bonfire ). The yard is straight down hill.
The view from the porches is great they look out to trees. This cabin is situated in a way that it is very private from the neighbors even though they are close.
This all being said it was a very cute cabin and we would return. I do not mean for this to be a negative review just informative.
At night your location because he's quiet you know why you're bothering you
Smaller than expected
Overall, we had a wonderful trip. The location of this cabin is perfect. It's close to The Island and restaurants. The pictures of the cabin are a little deceiving. We had three families with us and were expecting 3 master bedrooms. That is not the case. Two of the closed in bedrooms, have the futons in them. Therefore, two couples had children sleeping in their bedrooms with them. There is a loft bedroom, which is very spacious but lacks privacy. The cabin is not as big as pictures make it seem, however, there is plenty of space between the kitchen and living room. The kitchen lacked some basic accessories, so plan accordingly if you plan on cooking. The cabin was clean, but there is some water damage in the main floor bathroom.
This is a wonderful place for large groups or large families.
The property was beautiful and the house was so cozy
Close to Dollywood, Splash Country, Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
