It's a great location. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Having Q-tips in the bathroom was a great touch, because its normally the one thing ai forget to pack.
Perfectly located to visit historic Ticonderoga and other great spots in NY/VT. The place was neat and clean and the host was responsive to every need. I would go back and highly recommend!
Just a 2-day stay but a very pleasant experience. Townhouse was super-clean; kitchen was well-equipped with whatever one would need; and the property was incredibly quiet. Host was quick to answer any questions. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place to stay for a wedding at The Barn.
Our family of five stayed in Kara's townhouse for a June wedding at The Barn at Lord Howe Valley, which is near the Ticonderoga golf course. The location is convenient to the golf course area and to downtown Ticonderoga. The main level is larger that it looked in pictures, and everything was very clean, modern, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the large TV in the family room. Kara was very responsive through the VRBO app for a couple of questions that I had.
I booked this townhouse in Ticonderoga and was shocked to discover an undisclosed security camera on the back deck-an area clearly meant for private guest use. Nor did she list the ring camera at the front door. This was never mentioned in the listing or house rules. The owner actively monitored the feed and texted me immediately after seeing ordinary activities (like taking out the garbage or when my son and husband arrived 2 days before me). This constant surveillance made it impossible to relax or enjoy the deck. VRBO’s policy requires disclosure of any cameras, but that did not happen here. In addition the host was was not flexible and my experience was marred by this. My oldest son and his family—his wife and their three young children (ages 3, 5, and 8)—surprised us with a visit and planned to stay for three nights. According to VRBO policy, additional guests are allowed with host approval, and there was plenty of space to accommodate all of us comfortably (a total of eight people: five adults and three children). However, the host immediately demanded that my son’s family vacate the property as soon as they arrived, without even giving me a chance to inform her or discuss the situation. Despite my offers to pay any extra fees, she refused and insisted that the property was not large enough, which was simply not the case. This lack of flexibility put a damper on what should have been a joyful family visit. I hope future guests have a better experience.

Maria and her family certainly seemed to enjoy this property while they were there. They obviously spent lots of time in the house given the condition upon checkout and the amount of garbage produced. This property actually only accommodates 6- not 8. I was more than accommodating when the first additional guest (son’s girlfriend) wanted to stay unexpectedly but when three additional guests showed up there was not enough room to accommodate this due to lack of beds. Maria was not present at check in and for several days after even though the booking was in her name only. All security cameras are disclosed in the listing and are at each entrance which is fairly standard with any short term rental. Hopefully Maria is more satisfied with her next rental.
Kara was attentive, very helpful and responded immediately. Unit was extremely clean and lovely. When in Ticonderoga will definitely book again! Great experience!
Host gave easy check-in instructions and the condo was neat and clean. We stayed only 1 night for a local Triathlon race and the location was perfect for it.
Stayed here while visiting Middlebury College and it was perfect. Super clean, had all the essentials, and made the trip easy. Great food option just a minute away too. Highly recommend.
