About Bob and Janie Murray
Have spent summer vacations here for about 80 years. Great meeting place for extended family. We come from Seattle, Wa and others from Tennessee and Georgia.
Bob and Janie Murray purchased this House in 1938
Why Bob and Janie Murray chose Ocean Point
This house was purchased by our grandparents in 1938 and they enjoyed it for many years then passed down to our mother and now to us 3 boys and our families.
What makes this House unique
Walking a half a block to the ocean and being able to enjoy the sunsets and waves crashing on the rocks.

Exactly as Described
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Sea Haven. The cottage was exactly as described and pictured, taking us back to cottages that were owned by each of our grandparents. Sea Haven is in a peaceful neighborhood with an easy walk to the waterfront.
With so many wonderful restaurants in the area, we knew we would be eating out every night. We used the refrigerator for cold items and the microwave to heat leftovers. The kitchen was well appointed if eating in is your thing.
The beds are extremely comfortable. We appreciated the fans and air conditioner, as the temperature and humidity were pretty high for late August. The only warning I would give to other guests is that the clawfoot tub is pretty deep. Getting in or out might cause problems with some guests that have hip or knee problems.
Our family enjoyed our week by the ocean. It's a short walk down the street to sit on the rocks to view the boat traffic or a gorgeous sunset. There are places for the kids to play and plenty nice walks. The cottage was comfortable and had plenty of room.
Classic Ocean Point Cottage!
Sea Haven is the real deal for those seeking an authentic Maine coast cottage experience. Situated a stone's throw from one of the most magnificent oceanfront vistas on the Atlantic seaboard (that you can admire from the porch with a cold martini), this cottage is rich with tradition, and replete with family memories dating back decades. Comfortable and well-appointed, we lacked for nothing during our stay. We spent an excellent late-July week here and will definitely be back. There's not a better value in the area, and the owners are friendly and very responsive. Thanks!
Wonderful week in a wonderful place
My family and I stayed at Sea Haven for a week in July. This historic cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The front porch is a great place to have morning coffee and Ocean Point is a special place. Thank you to the Murrays for a great vacation week.
nice get away
so nice to have coffee in the morning on the front porch and see the ocean. So relaxing, just the break my family and i needed. We were lucky enough to see sea lions in the ocean on our last evening walk before we left.
Ideal for families with preteen children
We loved our stay at the cottage! Our children enjoyed the proximity of Ocean Point Casino with tennis, baseball and basketball courts. This is definitely a destination for our very sporty and active 10 & 6 years olds! The house had everything we needed, but dishwasher and washer would be a nice addition for bigger parties. We would like to return next year! Thank you!
The Botanical gardens are a fun place to visit. Also a sailboat ride and or a trip to Cabbage Island. Squirrel Island is also a good excursion.
