About this property

Historic Saint Helena farm house one block from Main Street

Our two-story farm house is one block from Main Street in downtown St. Helena. This amazing location offers guests direct access to all the great tastings rooms, restaurants and shopping in downtown St. Helena while having all the luxuries of being in a cozy fully equipped home.

PLEASE NOTE (Updated 6/22)-This home is in a residential area surrounded by other homes with families living in them. We want to respect this aspect of the street and ask that you do not book our house if you're interested in "partying." There is strict noise ordinance in Saint Helena that we follow from 9pm-7am where there shall be absolutely zero noise heard by the neighbors. If you are looking for a more isolated place with less homes around please check out our winery's BNB at VRBO # 1192900.


Our house was originally built in 1881 and recently renovated by us in 2013. It has all new appliances, bathrooms and a wonderful world class kitchen. We have central heat/air conditioning both upstairs and downstairs. The main house consists of three bedrooms-there are two bedrooms upstairs with queen beds; both have attached bathrooms with walk in carrara marble showers. The third bedroom is downstairs with a queen bed and an attached recently (2017) updated bathroom. The 4th bedroom is a detached unit a stones throw away from the main house that has a California King bed, a bathroom and a small kitchenette. Our main kitchen has an 8 burner gas range stove with griddle, copper apron sink, butcher block island, all new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher. We have a family room with a 55-inch television and couches to fit at least 8 people. We have a formal dining room that seats up to 8 comfortably. We also have a laundry/mud room. Our porch lines our entire front yard and has rocker chairs and tables for hours of people/train watching, card games, cocktails or take a (very) short stroll through the vineyard! Enjoy a glass of wine on our porch while watching the wine train go by! There is also a large back yard with plenty of parking and an outdoor kitchen with seating available for 8.

***Please note that we normally require a 3 night minimum but occasionally will honor a 2 night stay dependent on group size and time of year.

Charming House in Saint Helena!
We were so impressed by this property! The location could not have been better - super walkable to Saint Helena's adorable Main Street, Sunshine Market, Orin Swift etc. We had four adult couples and loved that this home had four bedrooms with queen or king sized beds and en suite bathrooms. We would highly suggest and plan to stay here again on future visits!

Fabulous Home!
This home is the perfect place to stay for a Napa Valley wine tasting vacation. We were a group of 7 adults and had plenty of room. The guest house was perfect for one couple and the the other bedrooms and attached bathrooms worked really well for the other 5 of our group of family and friends . The proximity to the shops, Sunshine Market and Model Bakery made it easy to walk around and grab breakfast and provisions for picnicking! The house is very well stocked with supplies for cooking including a lovely outdoor area. The home is very nicely appointed and very comfortable for a group of 7. This house was absolutely perfect for our 4 night stay. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return!

The house was terrific. Everything new or In great condition. Beds all comfortable. When we had a minor issue with the heater in the coach house, they came out and fixed it in a couple hours. Great location. 1 block from town. Hosts were very nice and recommended a private chef for dinner and she was fabulous. Would stay there again!

Perfect Long Weekend
Perfect location and set up for old friends celebrating some milestone birthdays. Plenty of space to be together and apart. We got some work done, went hiking and biking and wine tasting. Cooked at the house and took advantage of the great restaurants within walking distance.

Nice house, great local feel, great location. No entry instructions given and had trouble getting owners. VRBO almost cancelled our booking for 10 but the owners finally picked up the second number given VRBO (but not me) and we got in. Close to a disaster. Owner said he would text me his number in case of any other issues but did not. Beside that issue it was great.

Fabulous home in the perfect location
We just returned from a lovely stay at the St Helena farmhouse, celebrating a milestone birthday was friends. The house is a home - comfortably furnished with everything you need - and the perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants in beautiful St Helena. There were four couples and the home is arranged in a way that allows for privacy as well as time together. Everything about the stay was perfect, except that it wasn't longer! We're already talking about when we can go back.

We had a great four days at the Property with our adult children. The location is awesome—being able to walk to restaurants, bars and the grocery store allowed us to relax in the neighborhood. The front patio offers a great view of the mountains. We did not cook but the setup is perfect for outdoor grilling and dining. We would definitely come back.

Lovely old home and great location....Only suggestion is that owners install an RO filter for Kitchen as water didn't taste very good from the kitchen faucet.....St. Helena's finest I guess. Very well suited for warmer temps as they have a fabulous front porch and great outdoor BBQ and dining area in the back....the week or so I was there we got tons of rain....which CA needs....so more time indoors. All good.

Location, Location, Location
We were 5 adults (2 couples and 1 single) in the Napa area for a dear friend's wedding. The house is in a perfect location in St. Helena. You can walk to everything that St. Helena has to offer, and you are a short drive away from some of the best wineries around! The home is literally within a few blocks of Gott's, Farmstead, Safeway, Model Bakery, Sunshine Market and numerous other restaurants, bars and shops. The house is very well equipped with plenty of linens, towels, paper products, etc.. In the kitchen it is almost too equipped. There are multiple coffee makers and various small appliances to use if so desired. The house also had a variety of spices and oils and a selection of booze, which were left behind by others.. definitely a nice touch. The outdoor kitchen and patio areas is also great for grilling and just enjoying the beautiful weather. There is tons of seating and even an outdoor refrigerator to keep cold drinks handy. This home is perfect for adult groups, as all of the bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, which is great. All the bathrooms were also well equipped with hair dryers, soaps, etc.. One item to note, the downstairs bedroom is directly off the kitchen. Given the size of our group, we didn't use that one, but would just note for future guests, as it maybe loud in the mornings if someone was trying to sleep in. The owners also left a "welcome" bottle of their Amizetta family wine, which was fabulous. I highly recommend making a trip to their vineyard. The views are amazing and the wine was top notch. Two of us even joined their wine club! We will seek out this beautiful home on future visits to wine country!

We were born and raised in St. Helena and this is our first home we purchased after we were married in 2010. We spent the first two years we owned it renovating it and are thrilled with how it came out. This is our primary home, and we also have a cottage we share our time at too. Perry is a winemaker in the valley and Christine is a Registered Dietitian at Saint Helena Hospital. We welcomed our first baby boy, Hunter Duggan in August 2013 and second baby boy, Sawyer James in October 2015 our daughter Georgia Grace was born October of 2018 and our daughter Charlotte Perry was born on Halloween of 2020. We are excited to share our home and town with you!

Why they chose this property

We bought this home because of the distance to main street. We love being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops and not worry about driving. We also have a property in the country so we felt that this was the best of both worlds!

What makes this property unique

The best part of this house is its charm. It was built in 1880 and has stood the test of time. We have spent the last two years making it a comfortable, cozy fun place to be. This house is only one block from main street where everything is in St. Helena, making it a blast to stay at.
