This duplex is located in the Pierpont Beach area. Quaint old town Ventura is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk. Ventura, Central Coast, CA is located one hour north of Los Angeles and 45 minutes up the coast from Malibu. Santa Barbara is located 1/2 hour to the north. A grocery store, great restaurants, coffee shops are all within a 5 minute walk of the house. The large 2 bedroom 2 bathroom upstairs unit is featured in this listing and rents for $1600 per week in the summer and off season $2800 per month. There is also a $150 cleaning charge. For rentals of fewer than 30 days there is also a 10% tot tax.

About Don

Don and Joanne Law are both retired teachers. Joanne was a bilingual elementary teacher for more than 30 years. Don also taught for over 30 years mostly Industrial Arts and Spanish. We have owned our beach duplex since 2000 and love sharing it with our guests. Don is a fourth generation native Californian and Joanne has lived here for 40 years having grown up in sunny Phoenix AZ. We have traveled extensively and always look for vacation rentals and b and b's when we are on the road.

Why Don chose Pierpont Bay

Don's sister has lived around the corner since 1973. I can't believe that we have been coming to Pierpont more than 40 years! We always wanted a place at the beach and an opportunity came our way in 2000.

Very spacious and great breeze! Loved it!

We really enjoyed staying in this spacious duplex. It was sectioned off if we wanted it for another couple and it even had another refrigerator, microwave , bathroom, balcony which we sat out on during the day. We sat out on the other balcony off the living room and absolutely loved hearing the waves at night. Being so close to the beach was awesome. We took our blanket and sat on the beach with some wine & cheese. It was awesome. Don was always so cheerful and accommodating and answered any questions we had. They had bikes, boogie boards, surf board, 4 chairs that could be wheeled to the beach with a place to put our food & drinks. Having a washer and dryer was great since we stayed there for 2 weeks. It was also a pleasure to be in a quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful stay

Our hosts were extremely accomodating and attentive. They greeted us with baked goods and a bottle of wine. The property was very cozy. It allowed us to have a very relaxing stay! The beach is steps from the house!!! It is quiet and beautiful. We loved it so much we stayed here a whole month! :)

Short Walk to the Beach!!

This rental is very well maintained. The owners went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location meant that you don't have to hassle with parking when heading to the beach. Boogie boards and bikes are available for your use as well.

Close to Everything!

This property is probably the best you'll find along the Ventura coast for the price and number of beds. We rented both units (up and downstairs for two weeks) We had a family of 11 and we all slept comfortably. Every couch turns into a sleeper and we had a blow up bed in the garage for friends who wanted to crash for the night.

There are two parking spaces per unit, we had 4 spaces for us and you can fit a 5th if need be.

This place is less than a 5min bike ride from Vons supermarket and shopping complex. A few streets over there is plenty of restaurants to dine at, along with QSR (in-n-out, subway, McD's) less than a 5min walk form the house.

The street is a quite lane, no through traffic @ all.

There is an abundance of water sports gear, bikes, beach chairs, umbrella in the garage for use. We would regularly take these down to the beach (<300ft away at the end of the lane) everyday. The outdoor shower is great! and it has both hot and cold water. The rear yard/entertaining area, is small, but cosy and there are plenty of chairs.

We are only 15min drive from the Camarillo outlets, 10min from downtown Ventura and about 1h from Santa Barbara.

I highly recommend this place and the owners are lovely and will help you out with anything you need :)

perfect Ventura Beach location!

This is a very nice property and the location was perfect. It is very clean and well stocked. Renting both units worked out very well for two small families. It is close to the beach and the extra parking is not available at most units in this area. There is a grocery store, Starbucks and a Denny's within walking distance. This owner is very easy to work with and took extra steps to make sure we had everything we needed! It was nice to have boogie boards, beach chairs and even a surf board to use on our vacation. Overall, we had a great week and I would rent again without hesitation!

Excellent base for the family

We utilized both up and down accommodations for a family get-together in late July - Aug. 2013. The apartments were clean well stocked and as advertised and viewed in the videos we observed. Access is easy, proximity to attractions convenient, and a very pleasant base of "operations." The owner was helpful and available. A choice experience.
