The house has many returning guests.
3 Bedroom 2 Bath detached house - sleeps 8: 1 king in the master bedroom, 1 queen in the center bedroom, 1 single and 2 twin bunks in the corner bedroom..
Additionally, there is a roll-away bed and 2 cots which may be used in the different bedrooms. And in the cabana, there is a futon. There is a Graco Pack 'n Play Playard with extra mattress and sheets for infants.
The Candelore family is happy to offer the home as a year-round vacation rental.
It is one of the few single story homes left on the boardwalk. There are no steps to climb. The house does not share walls or floor with any other unit. There are no units above or below!
For overflow lodging, the house may be rented with an upper studio in the rear of the property. VRBO 592163. The studio features a queen size bed, kitchen, and bathroom. It comes with its own shared access to a small portion of the patio (southern most). If you have larger group, consider renting the studio ... and get a good night's sleep!
Consider staying during off-peak season times.
If families want to get together to book for 4 weeks at a time, then the city enforced Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 10.5% will be refunded to you.
There is off-street parking for 2 large SUVs.

There is a small cabana that opens towards the ocean (boardwalk side) and also to the enclosed patio area.
The cabana features a futon, mini-refrigerator, Vizio TV with PS3 game system, and the following 'toys': boogie boards, corn hole game, foam surfboard, and a number of infant sand toys.
New: Sound system and exterior speaker system for front patio. This is in addition to 200-watt portable boombox.
Enjoy reading the paper, sipping coffee, while looking out on the breaking surf!
The city usually places their portable lifeguard station, #17, right at El Carmel Place or a block away to the South. This means that during the summer there will be a lifeguard close to the house. This is good for younger children!
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BOOKING:
There is NO SMOKING in the house including electronic cigarettes, and absolutely NO HOOKAHs anywhere on the property.
No 'events' can be held at the beach house. There can be NO fraternity or sorority parties or reunions (which would attract a very large number of people).
Maximum number of people in the deck area is 15 people.
Our insurance only covers renters over the age of 25; therefore, you must be 25 or older to book this property. Please show your valid driver's license or government ID at check-in, and plan to be present to supervise all other guests under the age of 25.
Drunken behavior, underage drinking, drugs, and loud noise/music will result in the police being called and immediate termination of the vacation rental.

About Brant Candelore
Candelore Properties LLC is a family group. The house was built by our grandfather and has been in the family for over 70 years - 3 generations! We are looking to maintain the house as family friendly vacation rental with repeat guests. Many have spoken to and delt with Mildred over the years. Now, Brant is helping with the management. We have enjoyed spending family time here over the years. We hope that you will have many memorable times here as well! Mission Beach has the most accessible and best beach in all of San Diego. It is 4 1/2 miles long! There is an ocean as well as bay side. The boardwalk is terrific for walking, skating or biking. Did you know that surf fishing is pretty good right out-front of the house? Ask Brant for some fishing tips!

Since the property is at El Carmel, it is strategically located to take advantage of on and off-street parking. El Carmel point offers off-street parking where cars may be parked overnight. The house has 2 off-street parking for SUVs. We are centrally located - walking distance to Belmont Amusement Park (to the South) and Crystal Pier (to the North).

It’s All You Need!
What a beautiful home away from home. It has everything from cooking and relaxing on the porch to building sand castles or boogy boarding. The rooms are good sized for kids and adults. Other than groceries and swim suits everything else is here for a great beach vacation. Already planning to book again. The price is well worth the space and location.
Let me first say how great of an experience it was from the booking, to the final prep and communication with Brant was so easy. He even stopped in to check on us and brought bubbles for the kids. The house came with so many extras! The closets are full of extra bedding, heated blankets, towels, beach towels. There were sand toys, beach games, beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and shade structures, a fire pit, BBQ grill and plenty of tables and chairs. We loved everything about the location and even had a waffle bar breakfast right on the patio! (yes, there is electrical outlets out there but bring your own waffle iron). It was also convenient to have the kitchen stocked with a blender, coffee maker, crockpot & rice cooker for our meals! The location was perfect and we loved the option of hanging on the beach or on the patio! We will definately be back.

The house exceeded our expectations. Simple floor plan, plenty of space, everything to enjoy the beach, downtime, evening sunset watching under heated blankets, outside speakers for my Reggae jams, ... need I say more?
Perfect patio for hanging out
This house was perfect for our family vacation this past Thanksgiving. We had a lot of people ranging from babies to grandparents and the house worked great. The best part of the house is the location and patio. We spent the majority of the time hanging on the patio drinking coffee or wine and watching the kids play on the beach. We had a slight problem with the heater and Brant was quick to resolve it and make sure we were taken care of. The house is older but clean and well maintained. We would most definitely stay here again!
Spot by the Beach
House was perfect for us and our two small kids. Super close to the ocean, we could go out for an hour and easily come back to the house. You cannot be any closer to the ocean entrance steps. Walking distance to nice restaurants that have take out. The heated blankets for outside were a fun surprise. There’s a closet with bubble stuff we didn’t need to dive into but it’s there if you need an activity. The furnishings are simple but nice, and all one level indoors so it’s really kid and baby friendly.

We love this place. Place is clean and it has everything that you need. This is my second trip and I am definitely coming back next year. Thank you very much.
The nearest cross street is El Carmel Place (on the ocean side). El Carmel Point (on the bay side) features the Mission Bay Yach Club, and extra parking. Kayaks, boats, and paddle boards can be rented at Santa Clara point which is 5 blocks away to the north on the bayside.
