We had the best week!! We stayed during the heat wave at the end of July .. It seemed like it was 10 degrees cooler at the pond with all the trees. It was really nice.. The pond was clean and we were in the water the whole week.. We had lots of day visitors and they loved swimming and floating on tubes in the pond as well.. House was clean and plenty of room .. We normally vacation in Dennisport and it was a nice change. (No Sharks) lol
Mary was Great !!
We highly recommend this property..
Thanks Again , The McGreal Family
What an awesome place! We absolutely loved the pond ( which is a lake) so clean and refreshing for cooling off and kayaking in peace even during the height of summer! The house was perfect and looks better than the pictures. A great home base for exploring the Cape -I would def. rent again! Mary was so responsive and helpful - thank you sooooo much... The Perfect get away!
I really can't say enough good things about this property and the owner, Mary. First she was very accommodating. We were only able to make a 4 day reservation, but she did it for us and we were so grateful! The house is charming and well appointed. The pictures do not do it justice. If you are looking for a peaceful get away on a charming little lake where you can canoe and kayak and just relax, this is the place for you. My husband even caught a fish. The only bad thing was we were not there long enough!! Thank you Mary, we will be sure to visit again!
We really loved the house!
The house was adorable on the lake, everything you needed. Stores were only ten minutes away with plenty of restaurants. Loved the sunrises and so peaceful and relaxing
Lovely Vacation Home
My family which included my husband, children and grandchildren had a wonderful week at this rental. Although everyone didn't get to stay for the whole week we had fun times on the lake and enjoyed meals on the deck while they were there. The home was very comfortable and up to date and everything worked well.
The location is great for getting to Sandwich and the Cape with quick access to the bridges. We also like to spend time at Scusset Beach and riding bikes along the canal which is nearby. Most of our time was spent enjoying the lake which is beautiful. The water was warm and the canoe & kayak were a lot of fun.
I would definitely recommend this home. Mary (the owner) was helpful and available throughout the rental process and during out stay.
Beautiful quite pond front home in upper cape area. 3 bedrooms with queen beds, fourth area with twin and trundle bed, and queen memory foam sleeper sofa; two bathroom (second being installed March 2016). Air conditioned living dining kitchen area. Deck and terrace and 2 bedrooms facing pond. (Pond facing rooms have sliders out to pond facing terrace - March 2016 renovation) Fire pit, gas grill, beach chairs, canoe. Great swimming, fishing, bird watching. Plenty of restaurants, mini golf, water park, and antiques within 4 miles. 30 minutes to Hyannis or Woods Hole ferry to Martha's Vineyard. 20 minutes to historic Plymouth rock and Plantation
About Mary Harrison
Owners live just 1 hour from the property. They are lawyers, one of whom has a small law firm and the other works as a Vice President in a local foundation.
Why Mary Harrison chose Ponds of Plymouth
The Onset and upper Cape area is home to our grandparents and a huge family. We have a lifetime of great memories of summers on the Cape. So we bought this home to ensure the traditions continue into the future generations. We and our family living an hour away have the joy of an updated, fully equipped home away from home for day trips to weeks-long vacations.
What makes this Cottage unique
Swimming, fishing, Ice Fishing in season, canoeing; a short distance to the Cape Cod Canal for biking, roller blading or walking; so many options for eating and exploring and Cape Cod beaches. It's hard to leave the property once you get there. The views on the pond change all day - each more beautiful than the last. Watch amazing reflections of the moon and stars on the water. It's very typical to come with big plans for day trips to the local attractions and never leave the property becuase it entices you completely.
