Charming California cottage in an ideal location for walking in downtown Santa Barbara! Just two blocks from the center of Santa Barbara and the Paseo Nuevo Shopping Center. Enjoy shopping at Paseo Nuevo and casual dining at one of the many restaurants such as Eureka and California Pizza Kitchen. Or stroll through to State Street for night life, fine dining, art museums and theatres including the Granada, Lobero, and Arlington-- all only a few blocks away. The nearest beach is only one mile away--catch the trolley ride from State Street to Stearns Wharf and miles of walking and bicycle paths along the water.

This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, Spanish style bungalow is full of charm with hardwood floors, rounded interior arch ways and crown moulding. Although the home has the charm of an earlier era, the house has been updated with all of the necessary modern features. Gather around the fireplace in the main living area and relax on large couch in front of a flat screen television for a night at home.
Adjacent to this living space, guests will find plenty of room for dining at a large table for 6. Through the next archway, the newly remodeled kitchen features all new cabinetry, countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is even a little breakfast counter for two!
For guest convenience, there is an indoor laundry room adjacent to the kitchen with a full size washer and dryer. This room leads to the back patio with a sitting area and fruit trees for your enjoyment.
For comfortable sleeping, each bedroom features a queen size bed and a flat screen television for quiet relaxation.

Lovely house, ideal location

We had a very relaxing stay at Cota Casita. The house in a quiet street was very stylishly equipped with lots of nice touches. The kitchen was very well stocked with very modern equipment. The garden was quiet and enclosed and we enjoyed fresh lime and oranges from the trees. The location - a few blocks from State Street - was ideal. The property managers were very prompt in responding to any issues we had. We will definitely be back!

Cozy Stay at the Cota Casita

Great location close to the restaurant & shops on State Street and all the activities associated with the harbor, pier, and beach. Grocery, pharmacy, and coffee shops all close. Quiet neighborhood. The decor of the house is beyond charming. The furnishings are up to date, comfortable, and in good working order. Kitchen is amazing with great appliances and all the utensils you will need. Bathroom is clean and stocked with plenty of towels. TV and internet work great! Open the windows and let the cool breezes flow through the house. Front and back porches are inviting and relaxing outdoor spaces. The front yard is packed with beautiful rose bushes and bougainvilleas. We’ve stayed at VRBO properties all over America and this is one of the best! We highly recommend if you are planning a stay in Santa Barbara.

Lovely home near all the action in Santa Barbara!

The Cota Casita was the perfect house for us for a month in Santa Barbara! The bedrooms are large, with comfortable beds and lovely bedding. Nicely remodeled bathroom with a large bathtub. Plenty of thick towels, even many beach towels! Nice sized living room with comfortable chairs and a comfortable couch and a TV that could get many channels! The dining room was large with a roomy table for 6 with doors to the lovely outdoor area. The outdoor area is newly landscaped with 3 sitting areas and one dining area, and several mature citrus trees. The kitchen is also remodeled with a large Italian gas range and oven, EVERYTHING you would need to cook ANYTHING… an incredible selection of cookware, pots, pans, dishes, full set of knives, even a KitchenAid stand mixer!!! Large refrigerator, large kitchen sink, several different pieces of equipment to make coffee and tea.. even a complimentary bag of Dune coffee! Washer and dryer and another door to the outside patio. The location of Cota Casita is incredible! 3 blocks from State Street and 5 blocks from the Funk Zone.. so we could walk to a great restaurant for dinner and walk home easily. The beach is maybe 7 blocks from the Casita.. and walks along this coastline are marvelous. We had a wonderful, comfortable month at Cota Casita.

Lovely Cottage

My three girlfriends and I rented this place for a long weekend for some rest and relaxation without our young children. Although we did not cook, we found the kitchen well stocked. The space is perfect for hanging out and we even had some guests over for a glass of wine before heading out to dinner. The furnishings and decor were great. The beds are comfy and there were even extra blankets for the chilly night we had. The house is located very conveniently to the cafes and restaurants on State Street. The Funk Zone is within walking distance. We didn't rent a car and never had to call for a cab/Uber/Lyft. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, there were a couple hiccups. The welcome book indicated that there was a complimentary bottle of wine in the refrigerator. There was not. The bathroom sink and shower drain were slow draining. The cleaners showed up at 9:30 and entered as he knocked! Checkout was supposed to be 10am and we were still getting ready. After a quick apology, the house cleaner left and we were able to continue with our packing. The rental company apologized as well. Despite these minor offenses, we all found this cottage to be thoroughly charming and well equipped. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Santa Barbara.

The house is so charming! A classic Santa Barbara house, but brought up to high standards. The best kitchen we've ever had. Comfortable rooms for sleeping, reading, watching tv, listening to music. Very tasteful decor. It was just perfect!

Such a lovely cottage

The house is beautiful, and extremely well maintained. We booked for Thanksgiving and the kitchen did not disappoint for our holiday meal prep - the stove is a dream! Very impressed with the remodeled features in the home, but it also has classic Santa Barbara charm. One traveler tip - the driveway is quite narrow, so I wouldn't recommend any large vehicles. Street parking was easy to find though. Would happily stay here again.
