The home is so beautiful and inviting! We went for a little family summer getaway and enjoyed every minute! The host Karen is so kind and helpful as well. We loved the projector screen where we all sat together and watched a movie after a fun day of exploring the surrounding towns. It felt like a home away from home! We are already looking forward to planning another trip here!

This cozy country house is impeccably maintained, with beautiful sunny windows overlooking the forest and views. The front deck is lovely for relaxing. In fact, the whole house is made for relaxing. The master bedroom mattress was so comfortable! We did use the theatre screen set up to watch a family video made to celebrate the occasion. There are no tvs anywhere in the house- which is great unless you want one! But- the point is to relax and breathe- and this is the place to do precisely that!I highly recommend this home for a country visit.

4 night family trip with 2 adult children and their significant others (6adults total). The house was perfect. Convenient to hiking in Shenandoah, tubing down the river, and an absolutely out of this world dinner at the Blue Door Inn, The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The seclusion and solitude were exactly what we were hoping for. The hot tube was just what we needed after hiking Old Rag. Karen was exceptionally responsive with her communication, flexible and understanding when we had a last minute change to our plans. We will definitely stay with them again if we are in the area.

Property was very clean , I imagined the house to be a little bigger than what the pic showed but it was enough room for my family and we definitely enjoyed the amenities. Very secluded house, very private, we could hear the neighbors but could not see them. Lots of trees , perfect weather, full of fun. I definitely needed this peace of mind away from people, cars loud music. Just a touch of nature and relaxation .

The house is beautiful, and Karen was an excellent host--very responsive and very helpful regarding recommendations for things to do in the area. The house was a bit more remote than I realized and not very close to stores or restaurants, but this is coming from a city/suburban girl who is used to shops being two minutes away! That didn't take away the enjoyment of the trip or the house, though. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Hi, I’m Karen! I am so happy to share my home with you.

This house is a very special sanctuary for me; I love coming here to clear my mind in the peaceful nature that surrounds us. My favorite days are spent exploring the nearby hiking trails, followed by a quiet evening sitting by the fire, relaxing in the sauna, or soaking in the hot tub while stargazing under our incredibly clear night skies. It truly is the perfect place to reset and find balance.

As your host, I want you to enjoy that same sense of tranquility. I’ve ensured the home is updated with all 2025 safety essentials, including verified smoke/CO2 detectors, so you can relax with total peace of mind. I respect your privacy, but I’m always just a message away via the Vrbo app if you need a hiking recommendation or tips on the best local spots.

I look forward to hosting your peaceful getaway!

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

I chose this neighborhood specifically because it offers the rare combination of total seclusion and accessibility.

While the property feels like a private world of its own, it’s located in a community that values quiet and natural beauty. I fell in love with the fact that you can step out your door and be at the entrance of Shenandoah National Park within minutes, yet return to a neighborhood so peaceful that the only thing you hear at night is the crackle of a fire.

The lack of light pollution here is extraordinary, making it one of the best spots I’ve ever found for stargazing. It’s more than just a location; it’s a community of nature lovers where the pace of life naturally slows down. Whether you’re here to 'sweat it out' in the sauna or find a quiet corner of the woods to reset, this neighborhood provides the perfect backdrop for that escape.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What makes our property unique is the exceptional blend of luxury amenities and direct immersion in peaceful nature right at the doorstep of Shenandoah National Park. This combination is rare in the area.

Wellness Amenities: The private sauna and hot tub offer a spa-like retreat, perfect for unwinding after a day of hiking or for a quiet evening under the stars. These amenities are highly sought after by guests.

Proximity to Nature: You can walk to the national park's extensive hiking trails or enjoy stunning vistas along Skyline Drive within minutes.
Seclusion & Stargazing: The property offers total privacy and minimal light pollution, providing an extraordinary environment for stargazing and peaceful relaxation.

Cozy Atmosphere: The outdoor fire pit area ensures cozy evenings for sharing stories or simply enjoying the tranquil surroundings.
It’s a place designed to offer a true escape, allowing you to easily disconnect from the daily chaos and reconnect with nature without sacrificing modern comforts.
