Remote Riverfront Cabin: Hot Tub * Fast Wi-Fi * Disc Golf * Pool Table * Games!
Foxfire Glade Lodge is a comfortable 3-BR cabin on a beautiful piece of property consisting of 3 acres and 225 feet or waterfront on the Shenandoah River. Hit up the River Rat Run frisbee golf course and then kick back on the porch after a day of kayaking or tubing. We provide four solo kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and tubes for guests. You can play checkers or just relax, rocking on the porch swing, soaking in the sunset, and enjoying the riverside view. Spend the evening relaxing by the fire pit, for which we provide wood. In the winter time, come inside from the cold and cozy up by the indoor fire place.
We are located approximately 35 minutes from Luray and 45 minutes from the Thornton Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park outside of Sperryville. The Massanutten Trail, which includes Indian Grave Ridge and Kennedy Peak are nearby. The Massanutten ridge offers hikers a beautiful, tranquil hike that is less crowded than Shenandoah National Park.
After grilling out on the charcoal grill, you can gather around the fire pit for a cozy evening of stargazing and smores with friends and family. Maybe even try your luck fishing at the river!
For off-road riding enthusiasts, there is Taskers Gap/Peter's Mill not far away. Go to a local gas station to get your pass, and then you're good to go for an epic day of trail riding!
If you want to go canoeing, kayaking, or tubing, this is the place to do it! The Shenandoah River Outfitters company is approximately 15 minutes away. We have a few kayaks, and you can also bring your own boat and put your boat in the water and get out at several different points, including at the property! Inskeep Boat Launch is a large boat launch at the corner of Page Valley Rd and Bixler's Ferry Rd. Next you have Bealers Ferry Boat Launch and then Fosters Boat Ramp. The float from Inskeep to Bealers Ferry is 6 miles. It is approximately 2.5 miles from Bealers Ferry to Fosters Boat Ramp; from Fosters to the property, it is a 7 mile float. If you would rather not deal with taking two cars and hauling boats or tubes, Shenandoah River Outfitters is a great company, which will take you and pick you up at various spots on the river. Note: the Compton Rapids are a few miles after Fosters. They are a class II rapid, and you should wear your life vest if you are going to paddle through it.
When you're ready to turn in for the day or if it's raining, we have a big-screen TV and fast internet -- 121 Mbps down/33 Mbps up. An ideal place to work from home in a beautiful location or watch a football game with surround sound!
We ask that guests sign a renter agreement and make a security deposit through Owner Rez.
Note that there is a slightly curved gravel driveway beyond the gate to get to the property, so we would recommend a 4WD or an AWD in the wintertime. There is also additional parking by the river at the bottom of the hill across the road, on the river front side of the property.

This place offers unlimited options for fun or relaxation, rain or shine. We had a fun Easter egg hunt on the back lawn and ran the kids ragged chasing discs. Coffee on the porch, beer by the fire and a mini pool tournament. We needed another week to covers all the activities that came to mind.Thank you!!!
The property was extremely clean and exact to description. We booked 24 hours before check in and the host was extremely accommodating and quick to communicate. Would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful river getaway in Luray!
The house & property exceeded all expectations! It was much for me spacious than we thought, quiet, relaxing, serene views, & lots of things to make us feel at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with any cooking utensil/equipment we needed & in plenty! We loved the fire pit, hot tub, & oversized connect four game. Highly recommend!
Terrific open floor plan and wide tree lined yard laying down the hill to the river. We fell in love with the place. Would stay again! They thought of everything we could need. The only possible improvement might be an outdoor shower and easier river access with the canoe. Thank you for sharing your home.
We had an amazing stay at this cabin in Luray! The host, Chris, was very kind, responded quickly to any questions we had, and made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend! It’s pretty far from things to do in town, so I wish we stayed for a couple more days so we could have more time to go out and explore, but the house has so many activities that you almost don’t even need to go into town! We definitely plan on coming back when it is warmer so we can enjoy the river access a little more! I would 100% recommend booking this house!
The cabin was great! I was afraid that it would be overly cute, but it was appointed very nicely. Everything you could want is there. We had an issue with the lights, (not the host's issue) because of a storm, and the owner was extremely helpful. Even when my husband set off the fire alarm by frying bacon...
I would totally recommend this, we were 6 people and one very large dog, and everyone ( even the baby) enjoyed our stay. We'll be back!
The cabin is in great shape. The hot tub fits 4 adults comfortably. The owner and property manager were very easy to get in touch with and responsive. The location is way out at the end of a long dirt road. So it’s best if you have an SUV or truck to get there, especially in the winter. And be prepared to drive almost an hour to get to the nearest grocery store because you have to drive around 25 mph for about 10 miles from the cabin. We would definitely rent from this company and this cabin again.
We recently spent six days on this property. Chris was very attentive and answered any and all of our questions promptly. If you are looking for a getaway, this is a wonderful property. Enough to keep a family or group busy for a long time. We enjoyed using the pool table, the hot tub, ping pong table, and even the corn hole. We have a wonderful memory of relaxing in the hot tub with the decorative lights on around the porch and soft rain falling outside. The kitchen is well stocked with any pot or pan you would need. Thank you for sharing your property with us.
This home has been loved, and we loved it. I was able to unplug and hear sounds of nature. My boys played billiards and ping pong. Canoes and floats were available. I relaxed my tense muscles in the hot tub, and we enjoyed grilled meals sitting outside. Everyone slept well. Spacious home still cozy. Thank you owner and managers!
Very large property with cabin and out building. The wrap around porch was beautiful, spent a lot of time on the porch even though it was January. The cabin is huge, lots of open space. It would be a great place for a friend group in the summer, directly off the river with disc golf holes on the property. Satellite internet and TV worked fine, even in the snow. 4wd definitely required in the winter if there is snow, the property is on a private drive beyond where the snow plows stop plowing the road.We had a minor problem with heat on one side of the cabin, but the owners were prepared with extra heaters and the owner communication was the best I have ever had. Owner texts and phone calls immediately if we had a question. Amazing hosts!
