Adventurous local and wharf dining, Wyeth art tours by land and water, Monhegan Island ferry adventures to see Maine seabirds including puffins and American bald Eagles, picnicking at Marshall Point Lighthouse,  and good ice cream are all landmark features of nearby Port Clyde village.

Terrific property in every respect

  • 5 of 5

There is no one single thing that stands out about Sailor's Valentine; everything combines into a wonderful vacation experience. The location, the setting, the views, the top-of-the-line furnishings all blended together to make this a superb choice. The six of us -- a 3-generation family -- thoroughly enjoyed opportunities to gather in the living room or on the deck around the firepit, or on the grass with games, or on the dock. And at times we relished the ability to scatter to private spaces -- maybe at the end of the pier, or in the hot tub, or playing the piano, or simply enjoy the gorgeous views from the master suite.

BLOWN AWAY!

  • 5 of 5

Wow. Just finished a week at the sailors valentine property and we absolutely loved this place. The photos don't do the house justice. It was incredible. Everything we needed for a great stay was supplied including fresh, clean towels, every cooking utensil imaginable, even little K-cup cartridges for us to fill with some delicious blueberry coffee we bought in town.

The master bedroom was very generous and every morning we were greeted right in our plush king size bed with a magnificent sunrise out of an entire wall of windows.

But best of all was the scenery wrapping around the entire back of the property. From the beautiful landscaping, to the long dock that stretched out into the glistening water, to the view of the islands dotting the harbor. Oh, ,and the kayaks that were supplied were great for trekking out to the islands.

Their is not a ton of choices around the immediate area for dining out and supplies but Camden and Rockland were sufficiently close and a local general store was there in a pinch.

The best local place we ate at was Luke's. By far the best service and food that we had right there in St. George and the seating outside was fantastic.

Thank you so much for making our first trip to Maine a memory that will last a lifetime.

I had the pleasure of staying at Sailors Valentine for an extended stay.

  • 5 of 5

I had the pleasure of staying at Sailors Valentine for an extended stay. Both the home and the views are stunning. Sailor’s Valentine overlooks Barter’s Point and has beautiful large windows to enjoy the view both upstairs and down. The gorgeous Master Bedroom with a King bed overlooks the harbor and the private pier. The large eat in kitchen has a commercial Viking stove, a large island and every amenity needed to cook in and enjoy your vacation. The added touch of an indoor gas fireplace was welcomed during the chilling evenings at the flick of a switch. I especially enjoyed walking the private pier and the 6-person hot tub overlooking the bay and the outdoor deck with a fire pit for relaxing and watching the boats go by. If you are looking for a vacation home away from home, this is the place!

Beautiful home and location in Tenants Harbor

Great place to stay with comfortable amenities. Conveniently located to Rockland yet far enough away to avoid the busyness of town. Planning on a 2017 return

Amazing Waterfront views!

  • 5 of 5

We shared this home with another couple for a full week in early October. The fall foliage was peaking and the weather was great. Loved the location. It's about 15-20 minutes south of Rockland. The home featured one bedroom with full bath on the main floor and a spacious master bedroom upstairs, along with a 3rd bedroom and utility room. The kitchen is large and had all the utensils, plates, glassware we'd ever need. Nice having both an eating bar and breakfast nook table. Really enjoyed the gas fire place on the back deck. Although there are homes on both sides, it felt very private. Loved having the kayaks onsite. Also enjoyed walking down to the boat launch area. Several areas to sit and enjoy the water. We found some sea glass at lowtide. We would highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit.
