Upon arrival you will note the lovely gardens and well-manicured grounds. If you step out the back door you are a few steps and a short grassy walk down to your own private dock and float. The dock is tidal, so you would make use of the 2 provided
moorings for your boat(s). There is a 2- car garage available as well as exterior parking (4 cars maximum).
Entering the home you’ll note the maple flooring and how the ocean-facing windows brighten the open concept living and dining area with sun. For chilly nights there is a propane insert fireplace. If you plan to stay in for an evening there is a 60” flat screen television and a comfortable selection of quality furniture from New England's finest artists and craftsmen. You will find no shortage of comfort and high quality at this vacation home. In this space you’ll also note the large dining room table which seats
12 and enjoys an expansive view of the ocean. Off the living room you enter a large contemporary kitchen with new major appliances, ample counter space, an island work space for creating culinary delights and bar seating for 6 at the attached mahogany counter. Directly off the kitchen is an informal breakfast area, also for 6, which has a cozy wood stove. The kitchen has a standard coffee maker, a Keurig and an espresso machine. Moving on, there is a first floor bedroom with a queen-size bed, and
an adjoining full bath. Also on the first floor there is an over-sized mudroom with ample space to store your active gear (skis, rackets, water and sporting gear, etc.) there is also a treadmill located here.
Through the rear door you step out onto an oceanfront deck equipped with a propane grill, a wicker lounger set surrounding a fire pit and an umbrella dining table with seating for 6. Adjacent is a cozy screened-in porch for rainy day conversation. Provided for your entertainment is a good assortment of inside and outside games. Moving off the porch there is a large hot tub to relax your muscles in after a long day of vacation fun. There are wonderful flat ledge areas on the shore for sunning and picnicking along with a private beach for your use. Throughout the day you’ll notice lobster boats and pleasure yachts combining throughout the harbor. Two kayaks are furnished for day tripping among nearby
islands. Returning inside, you take the stairs to the second floor where you will immediately notice a concert pianist's Baldwin grand that looks to the sea and may be played to entertain guests below in the architecturally soaring living room. There are two bedrooms upstairs; the first bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted to a king. It has an adjacent bath and adjoining laundry room, the second is the master suite. This suite has a king-size bed, stunning panoramic views to the outer islands and a full
bath featuring a comfy tub for end of day, plus a large shower. There is also a leather love seat facing a flat screen television and a writing desk positioned perfectly for nautical inspiration.
Area Amenities: 10-minute walk to Tenants Harbor General Store, open daily, specializing in morning coffee and pastries, corn, blueberries, native lobsters, fresh cut meats, and all grocery supplies. Bring your bike for nice winding roads and water views. Sailor's Valentine is a Saturday to Saturday rental from June 1 st– Sept 30th. From Oct 1 st - May 31 st this property is available for seasonal rental with a monthly rate. No utilities are included as part of this off-season rental, and a background check is required. We ask for first month’s rent, last month’s rent and a security deposit at signing.
